Health - 22 January 2007

Ok so I am bipolar, have PSTD, know what panic attacks are and how to handle that. Still, I had a confrontation today that has left me very emotional and nervous and upset and I can't calm down!! I feel physically sick I am so upset! I can't think straight or function, and that's not a luxury I can afford right now. Can't get ahold of the therapist at the moment either....till THURSDAY. Any suggestions?!

Okay I kno its not NORMAL I Kno i shud get checked.. But im askin if any one has any ideas.. basically i sometimes get it twice a month now i got it this month and it has yet to stop im 33 yrs old have kids.. I hate to go n get checked.. somedays its really heavy.. somedays its almost gone i clot Alot... i want serious answers please outside the obvious of getting checked.. im scared to go.. any clues or ideas what could cause this?

This is reallyy really weird, but I have a problem with my underarms. They are greenish, and the skin is really thin and sensitive. I don't know why, It's not dark meaning it's not browner, but it's greenish. The situation worsens if I use regular deodorant, but even after not using regular deos, It still has a slight greenish hue. Maybe this is a skin condition, but being very fair, and although my underarms are not dark, they look like they have been stained with green clothing/ink every day. Has anyone else have had this reaction? My skin is extremely sensitive, skin on my face can only use certain brands of products, and my underarms... well. They're clean, but as i said green for no apparent reason. My friends can use any type of deo without any reaction. I react to almost all deos, and the ones I don't react to, don't work.

Losing hope of ever raising my nude underarms in public. Help

He's been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer that's spread to his liver the prognosis is very grim but he's playing the cards that God dealt him very well, I just feel that there maybe some organisatons out there that may make things a little easier. is there?

Thinking about the new medication I think it's called Chanix or something like that... Has anybody tried it? Does it work// I understand you are still smoking while you are taking the drug...With me it's not a health thing, its a social thing, just can't smoke anymore ANYWHERE... So what else do you do, but QUIT... the whole idea SCARES ME TO DEATH!!!!!!!

My collar bone was broken years ago and it healed normally. It has always had a slight bump at the fracture, but now it seems that the bump has gotten larger. Is it normal for healed fractures to change in size?

Hellow everyone i am 17 my height is 5.6'' and I am 92kg. I need help to lose weight please. I run 20mins in the morning and do 15 push up and 55 sit up plus some warmup like streching and walk for 2miles every mon-fri.

I use to be 98kg and now i am at 92kg. I can see very little change in my arms and shoulders but not in my chest, stomach and thighs. Has anyone got any good idea how to lose weight effectively and burn fats in my chest stomach and thigh areas please? But i dont want to loose my muscles too, Please i need help i have already avoid fatty foods.

Can somone also give me some good idea of low fat snacks and meal recipie which is easy to make and tastes nice please? (sounds silly lolz) thank you very much for taking your time to help me. Cheers...

I cant pee in public. It doesnt matter how bad i have to go i just can do it. I dont know what it is. As soon as im alone it just flows right out. But when im in a public restroom with people in there it just wont come out. I dont know why i do this. Can anyone help me?

I have a lot of anxiety, especiallly whenever my husband and i have to go pick up my step daughter, whenever we pick her up we never know if she is going to want to come with us or cry, which is normal i guess since she is only 3 but I just want to know how to get rid of my anxiety and feel better about going and picking her up, i also hate to make phone calls, or answer the phone to people that i am not comfortable with, my husband hates it, if someone in his family calls or even some people in my own family, if im not close to them, or someone i barely know calls i wont answer it and he gets so mad! im sure it does get annoying but i cant help it, I really have alot of anxiety about a lot of things and it gets in the way of doing things i would really like to do but it bothers my husband and i dont like that either, i know he doesnt understand because he is normal, and doesnt feel the way i do....please help

Lately, I just haven't been able to fall asleep. I'll just be lying in bed for 30 mins to an hour (sometimes 2 hours) tossing and turning. It isn't my bed because I just got a new one, and I don't want sleeping pills because my buddy got addicted to them. So does anyone have any helpful tips?

In my lower middle left side in my stomach, there is a horrible pain that hurts when I walk, brethe, cough and sneeze. When I put pressure on it, it feels hard, and as though it is throbbing. The pain is also in my lower middle back. Could I possibly have appendisitis?

Diognosing and treating a mental illness is a guessing game...Does one really need a 6 year degree to be able to do this..?

C_lotty....If part of the desease is that "thinking", one does not need medication" that means i still have an illness...
Q, Then why are they not treating me, to stop me believing i do not have an illness..?

Cuban_friend...If by "definition" one cannot recognise when one is haveing a epesode...
Q, then why did i admit myself when i recognised i had an epesode....?

I challange all of you and my mental health to provide me with impecable evidence that i do now have a mental illness and that i need medication... i bet you cannot...

I went to the ER on Tuesday of last week w/ back and abdominal pain that would come in waves. I was told after a CT that I had a kidney stone in my left kidney. I was given NO advise or even given an idea of what to expect. The Dr said I should'nt be in pain because the stone is still in my kidney. I have burning w/ urination, and DR's found red blood cells in urine. My question is how long will this last? How long does a stone stay in the kidney before passing and does a stone in the kidney cause pain? I am desperate for advice, as my Dr seems to think this is no big deal, even though I have been in constant pain for over a week...
