It sounds like you may have been shot in p***y and just don't know it. Never trust anything that bleeds for more than 5 days and doesn't die!

I used to have periods last for MONTHS at a time. And they would be HEAVY!!!! Sometimes I would go back and forth from heavy to spotty to heavy again, but it wouldn't stop. Again, this would go on for months at a time with no break. And with lots and lots of BIG clots. And don't get me started with the cramps....
I had trouble with cysts and whatnot starting around the age of 13, when my periods started. Around the time I turned 30 I started getting fibroids, which just made everything worse. You may have endometriosis (sp?) or you may just have fibroids or a slight hormonal imbalance. I know you don't want to go to the doctor, but this type of bleeding isn't going to go away by itself. If you have kids, then you have gone to get checked before, SO JUST GO. It's for your own good. Don't screw around with this sort of thing. I eventually ended up having everything removed. I feel better now, but I shouldn't have waited so long.
Good luck.

To me, I hear of more irregular periods than normal periods. Are you taking medicine that could affect it? I took allergy pill after another one time, because my allergies were bothering me so much, that it delayed my period until I stopped taking the pills. Are you stressed about something? I'm not sure when women get menopause, but maybe your body is getting ready for it. Not that you are old or anything, but maybe you might get it early. Or does that kind of thing run in your family history? Sorry that is all I can help you with, besides the obvious answer that everyone is telling you.

At your age, a malignancy is unlikely; however not impossible. A benign uterine tumor-a leiomioma-is more probable. Endometriosis can be a cause, but the period seems too long to me for that. Another possibility is a haematologic disturbance- your blood being less coagulable. Get over the fear and get checked; it is most likely an easily treatable condition.

Only person that can answer that actually is the OB/GYN.
I don't know any female that actually relishes climbing up on the table, feet in the stirrups and having a speculum the size of a can of corn inserted into their nether regions, but it needs to be done. What you are describing is definitely not normal. It sounds serious. The longer you wait, whatever is going on will fester longer, and be more difficult to treat.
Sometimes we must do what we don't like.

Sorry to say it but you need to go to the doctor. You could be anemic from losing so much blood. That happened to me. If you are 33 and have kids, you are a grown up and should act like one and go to the doctor. Your kids need you! Any medical advise you get on line or here at YA is by far not the same as going to the doctor. There is nothing to be afraid of. It is probably nothing. Good Luck and go to the doctor for your kids!!!!!

It could be due to any of these conditions, i.e.hormonal imbalance, infection, a polyp or any tumor in the uterus or ovary.... You may dread it, but only a doctor can help you on this!
Ask around for a doctor who is gentle and compassionate enough to 'nervous' patients like you... you'll see that going for a check up is not that bad after all!

sometimes a womens olvaries come out two at a time and that could do with stress and with an over stimulation of the nerves. If your stressed then take the time to relax if you have sexual intercourse two days after your period then it may come back and be heavier so I do advise you to get checked but you shouldn't be scared its probably not a big thing

I hated to go get checked too, but it has to be done. I'm guessing it is either fibroids or polyps in your case. They will try to find out a diagnosis from either an internal ultrasound or a biopsy or maybe both. In my case, nothing showed up on either, but when they did a D&C on me they found several polyps and removed them.
I know it feels yukky to get checked while you are still bleeding, but they do it all the time. They might can give you a hormone to take to stop the bleeding and schedule you to come in on another day. But please, get checked. You are suffering unnecessarily.

I dont preport to have all the answers but it could be due to any number of things starting with simple hormonal issues or a fibroid tumor[not cancerous] or something called endometrious. Please go and get checked, you may only need hormone like meds to regulate your cycle. To not get checked could lead to a more severe issue later requiring more then a simple medicine.I encourage you to go to a doctor for a simple check-up and talk to him.You can check these on WebMd too.

There are a lot of things that may cause this. Endometriosis or fibroid tumor. Which both of these can be fixed by having a D&C. I don;t think you are pre-menopausal. I know you don't want to go to the Dr. however you really are really to a point you must go. and get this problem resolved.
