(SOB - shortness of breath)

i quit smoking 3 months ago, and had congenital asthma (outgrew it by age 2). i'm a physically fit person, so it doesn't make sense for me to have to catch my breath after going up the stairs.

I also get SOB when i get nervous.

This pain is not extreme, but is in exactly the same spot every time. I have had this for a few months now. I don't notice that it occurs more often at any point in a day, but I normally feel it three to four times a day. Sometimes, I can be laying down and turn a certain way and it will produce the same sharp pain.

The pain does not make me double over (or I would go to the doctor), but I am concerned it might be my pancreas. Since I have not had extreme pain, and if it were the pancreas, would this heal on its own? All info I could find on pain in the pancreas would be severe if it were a notable condition...

What else could cause recurrent pain in the exact same spot for awhile? When I push in the spot to pinpoint it exactly, I don't feel anything under the skin that hurts. THANKS

Whenever my spouse gets his other son, which is rare, I just can't stand to look at him (the son) and he gets on my last nerve so quickly (he does misbehave, probably for attention since my spouse and I have a son) is this a phsycological problem on my part? Can you help me understand all these mixed emotions and is it normal?

i have a genetic bone condition which means i break/ crack a bone roughly every couple of years. the symptoms of my condition are pretty much supposed to stop when i get to about 20 years old (not long to go, im 18) but sometimes it gets me so depressed. the thought of breaking another bone actually scares the shi t out of me, partly cos i hate how people react and being judged, partly cos im a musician and i cant play if ive hurt my arm, and partly cos im a man and i dont want to be weak (although im muscular and dont look like i have a problem). i dont know if/ how i can get it through it if it happens again. also i worry about doing something that will do permanent damage, like break my neck or something. also sometimes it dettaches me from my friends, cos i cant tell a lot of them cos i know they wont understand or will act differently around me. anyone have any tips on how to deal with this? anyone else have a similar problem?
thanks a lot

I'm 44 and trying to figure out the best form of birth control. I'm concerned about using any with hormones at my age. I'm a non-smoker, pretty healthy, normal weight, have had 1 child and am in a monogamous relationship.

I definitely don't want to risk pregnancy. My son is grown, in college and I don't plan to have more children.

I'd like to get any info from women who've used the low estrogen pills, and any and all info on use of other forms of bc!
Any bad experiences, side effects, failures?

I've read so many statistics that go back and forth on the safety of taking the pill/hormones, especially for women over 35-40. A cancer can take so long to manifest itself, how can you really know?

I am using the Today sponge. I thought it was a pretty effective method, so it says on the box. In reading online medical sources, it has a 15-40 % failure rate out of 100!

I know a tubaligation is an option, but the thought of making it so final is a mental thing..no more babies.

I use timolol eyedrops for glaucoma. I was reading on this and drugs you should not take or should ask your doc about. I take Zoloft, and are there any nurses out there who know if this interaction is okay? I will ask my doc, but it may take a while to get a response.

Dr. told me to start taking fish oil pill containing Omega 3 - to help lower my chloesteral and triglyceride levels.

I purchased Nature's Bounty Fish Oil w/ Omega-3 & Vitamin E. Is this good, or is there a better product for me to consider?
