I don't know where you live but here in Kansas, there are a few clinics that go based on your income...and can be extremely cheap! One is called Grace Med, in Wichita, Ks...there's another one but I'm not sure of the name! If you life in or near a City than I'm sure they have something similar! Oh and she is in pain and can't find anything to help the pain...Take anything that has Naproxin...like Aleve! It was the only thing that helped my pain when I had dental issues! Oh and beware of home remedies...they can only irritate the infection more if that is what she has! GOOD LUCK

I don't believe there are any plans from the government unless your income is exceedingly low. I live near Mexico and have had work done there. My husband and children have also had some work done there. We have insurance but sometimes it's still cheaper to go over there and we have a dentist we just love. We've had our dentist hear in the state's check the work and he was impressed. You could look for cheap tickets and plan for a couple of days if your not close. If you have her go to a dentist she can possibly get a free diagnostic exam, ask for copies of the paperwork, (don't tell them it's for Mexico or they'll talk you out of it.) And call a dentist from Mexico and they will give you an over the phone quote which is very accurate. If she needs a crown they take a couple of day's for the lab to make. (In fact my 1000.00 crown I had done here in the Us just chipped! But the one from Mex hasn't!) If she doesn't need a crown then you could probally get it done in 1 day. Remember, the longer you let dental work go, the more you'll have to pay to fix it and you're more likely to loose teeth that could of otherwise been saved.
(My only strong recommendation when crossing the border is not to eat anything over there or drink water. My dentist uses bottled water and I've never gotten sick.) My cousin ate there and got sick, with uncooked produce.
Good Luck!

Yes if you went into the dentist and told them the way you wife is . And ask can you talk to the dentist and she or he will feel sorry for your wife (may be ) you could tell him or her that you will pain before any work has start . I don’t see why this will not work .

I would directly to the closest teaching hospital that has a "General Practice Residency" Program. You'll get good, textbook, care at a reasonable price.

the only thing that government would pay is to pull all of her teeth and MAYBE give her dentures, and that is if your income close to nothing.
Otherwise try to call local dental school and see if they can see her there, it is usually way cheaper than go to the practitioner.
