Depending on the purity, or how much "cut"(other chemicals and whatnot that dealers add to their stash so that they have more to sell or use) is in it. I've seen it anywhere from black with a hint of brown to a milk chocolate brown color. It comes in a white powder form also but you'll mostly see it in a dark brownish black to light brown. Also the color will lighten up depending on how much water you cook it on if its being planned to be shot up.
When its being used, cooked, or simply taken out of the plastic it smells sweet, sour and vinagery.
Thats why when people are making a connect they ask for black

Street heroin is a dirty brown color. Pure heroin is a powdered white color and is not affordable. The best kind is black tar. It's all colors.

I'm allergic to opiates and I don't do this kind of a thing but I knew addicts and was exposed to it enough to know and see what it has done to people over time.

Most addicts come by heroin mixed with coke or speed. The color is a greyish brown. Mostly, they purchase mixed heroin withh speed and get it in a balloon. A tiny balloon. It's called a dime bag. They settle for speed balls. (it's what they call it).

My talented base playing friend ended up lying in an alley for three days before someone decided to call an ambulance. The drugs caused a stroke and now he is wheel chair bound. He lives in a home with so called "assisted living" through the State... but, they are taking his checks and he hasn't bathed in 6 months.

Hope no one you know is doing this horrible drug and waisting their life away or by the time they are 35 or 40, they will have organs of a 65 or 80 year old.

One recovered addict said that it's like jumping into a swimming pool at a party when you are 19 years old and then when you climb out the other side, you are 30 years old... and then wonder where all those years went and what the heck happened to you and your missing friends who either died or moved on.

It is commonly light brown, but it may also be found white, it depends on the purifying method used. Have you ever listened that song by Rolling Stones - "Brown Sugar"? Well they´re talking about heroin. Regards, Gabriel... P.S. Don´t do drugs they´re very bad for you, specially heroin.
