(SOB - shortness of breath)

i quit smoking 3 months ago, and had congenital asthma (outgrew it by age 2). i'm a physically fit person, so it doesn't make sense for me to have to catch my breath after going up the stairs.

I also get SOB when i get nervous.

well it could be something with your heart, or it could be that you're possibly having panic attacks. does it feel like you can't get enough air when your just sitting down, and laying in bed? you said it happens when your nervous, so that's why i mentioned the panic attacks. you should probably go to the doctor anyway, and be checked out, just to be safe.

exercise frequently and the sob will slowly reduce..

but if the sob is still bothering you check your doc

you could have heart problems -- valve problem , failures too

or it could be a lung problem too

if you have sob which your colleague of the same age and weight doenst have go to a doc
