My son who is 13 had noticed a sharp pain in his right testicle when he moved / touched it last night. He said it continued and it is still there this morning. Is this normal for puberty? I thought it usually went away after a few minutes.

My friend has a problem with her live-in boyfriend--he snores at 6 point Richter scale! He has tried a nasal strip (don't know what brand) and tried sleeping on his side, stomach....no dice.

Someone suggested surgery for sleep apnia, but I am trying to see if someone out there was lucky without having to go through surgery, or if there is a particular kind of device that works.

I want to know if I can make a better time for soccer season, my last one which was 2 years ago was 8:30 barely and just yesterday I ran a 6 min. I'm still panning on losing some of the 20 percent of fat i have, so i might lose some 20 pounds. Can I get a faster time?

4-5 weeks ago I was hanging curtains and lost my footing on the chair I was standing on, I fell backward and hit the front of my ankle on the chair seat as I went down. It hurt a lot, but I iced it and it wasn't immediately swelling. I had and still have full range of motion, and it didn't hurt any worse when I walked. It only hurts more when I sit indian-style with that ankle on the bottom pushing on the floor (my favorite sitting position of course). By the next it developed a NASTY bruise and some swelling. The bruise lasted 3 weeks. The swelling went down to a small bump which is where it hurts to push on it. The bump now comes and goes, it gets bigger if I wear tight socks. I'm concerned that it still hurts there and it's odd that the bump comes and goes... if I go to a doctor can they even do anything? What type of injury do you think it is? It doesn't seem like a sprain or fracture... How long should it take to heal? Thank you for any educated advice you have!

I have been diagnosive polyneuraphy and severe DDD. I cannot lay down because pain worsens. I am scheduled for EMG and NCV. I am taking Lyrica to help with muscle spasms and nerve pain. When I am in pain I am unable to move or walk due to severe pain. I use a walker so I don't fall. Once I am up I can walk after about an hour with pain but not as severe as when I lay flat. I cannot do everyday simple chores. My muscles are weak and stretch without my help which also will cause pain to increases. The pain seems to be sore, tender and raw on the lower left side of my spine and radiates to both buttocks and legs with numbness and tingling minimal. I have been sleeping in a recliner for 3 months because I cannot lay flat. The muscle weakness seems worse in my hands and left leg and I cannot support my lower body due to the pain which has caused me to fall several time. What can be done? I need help and I am very depressed due to the pain. I will not see dr for results for 2 more months.

Last night my fiancee' was amazed at how young some of the people who she met looked for their age. They all seemed to have one thing in common: They never really overextened themselves, and had incredibly stress free lifestyles. The majority held no job or a marginal one, and still lived at home. The difference between them and "upwardly mobile" people of about the same age was too dramatic to just be co-incidence. Assuming all of your basic needs (i.e. food, shelter, healthcare) are covered, does a lifetime of low stress, menial jobs, no children ensure youth and good health?
