I want to know if I can make a better time for soccer season, my last one which was 2 years ago was 8:30 barely and just yesterday I ran a 6 min. I'm still panning on losing some of the 20 percent of fat i have, so i might lose some 20 pounds. Can I get a faster time?

depends if u lose mucle or fat. just keep working out and running alot. do a timed mile at least 1 a week and do it as fast as you can.
also do like 1 min fast-race* pace sprint, then 1 min jog. then do 2 mini fast, 2 min kinda jog, alittle faster. then 3 min fast, 2 min jog, then if you can try 4 min fast then 2 min jog then work your way down.

*fast enough so u cannot talk.

best of luck,

First off if you can do a 4:45 mile on a treadmill, in the middle of a cardio workout, then you need to go talk to some college coaches. Second, 45 seconds off of 4:45 is almost 16% faster. That's the difference between a 4:00 marathon and a 3:20 marathon. Or a 11.00 second 100 meter and a 9.24 second 100 meter. Now if you were talking about shaving 45 seconds off of your 8:00 minute mile, or MAYBE even your 6:00 minute mile, then I think people here could offer some decent advice. But saying you do a 4:45 in the middle of cardio work out, by accident, is really insulting everyone's intelligence. You are either a braggart or a liar. Or you don't realize the "k" in front of the "m" means kilometer.

The best way to increase your time is to practice in interverals. One minute running.. .One minute walking.... etc.
