2 people do no exercise whatsover. However, one of them is continually shocked, raising their adrenaline levels and therefore raising their heart rate. Will this person be physically fitter than the person who is not shocked?

That's a great question...good to see someone out there is thinking!

My hypothesis would be that the shocked person would be 'fitter', at least by my definition of fitness. I define fitness in this case as cardiovascular fitness, since neither one will be fit muscularly, and this will be the main difference between the two subjects of your thought experiment.

Subject "A" (no adrenaline) will have reduced blood flow and cardiac output, resulting higher risk for plaque sedimentation in the vessels. The heart muscle will also be weaker, and likely will have more fat deposits around the tissues from lack of excercise. Also, the muscles around the vessels will be weaker, and the elasticity of the vessels will be reduced, resulting in higher resting blood pressure.

Comparatively, subject "B" (Adrenaline stimulated) would have a lesser degere of these problems because the hormone would increase cardiac output and heart rate, dilating vessels to muscles and constricting vessels to the core, thus giving the apparatus a degree of excercise. Also, more oxygen/nutrients will get to the tissues in the adrenaline shocked person due to higher blood flow, giving more nutrients to the cells of the body.
However, neither would be in great shape.

Now if you want to talk about fitness of the immune system, that's another story...since adrenaline is often secreted with cortisol, which weakens the immune system to infections and cancers, the two would have different immunities. In this regard, subject A would have a better and more effective immune system than subject B, whose immune system is constantly being bombarded and inhibited with cortisol during the shock therapy. Thus person B is more susceptible to cancers and disease.

Anyway, that's just my two cents worth. Great question!

No... just because your adrenaline raises.... does not mean you are physically fit. A 400lb man could be shocked every day... does that make him fit?

No...it only makes the person who was shocked more tolerant of electricity.
