My husband is in the Coast Guard. In August, we were transferred to Juneau AK. With the exception of the last 2 yrs. I have spent my whole life in Maryland. My 8 year old son has adjusted very well and of course so has my husband, but I can not adjust. I just want to go back home so badly. I find myself doing nothing but wondering what everyone back home is doing, what there weather is, etc., etc., etc. No matter how hard I try, I can not stop thinking of what they are doing, and hoping that they will all still be there when I return in 4 years. I will not drive in bad weather, so I pretty much stay home 24-7. The darkness and the snow are horrible. So far this year we have had around 70 inches of snow. Sun rises at 8:47 am and sets at 3:08 pm. This darkness drives me crazy. Plus, it is either raining or snowing. The sun only comes out maybe twice a month. Can anyone help me. Thank you in advance.

in getting the house ready for christmas a heavy figurine feel of the top shelf onto my foot. im in pain and there is swelling. my friend offered my some of her vicodin, but im allergic to penicillin. can i take vicodin or norco for pain if im allergic to penicillin?

I have had a wart on my left hand for about 18 months now. I have had it chemically frozen off 3 times and even did it myself 2 times and it keeps coming back. My meat cutter told me to cut a potato in 1/2 and rub it on the wart, then take the potato out and bury it. He says my wart will disappear. He swears it. Have you ever heard of this? I am going to do it this week

I was at my local gym. I swam a couple of laps in the pool for 30 minutes. Came out went to shower had very bad pain around appendix peed which looked normal with red. Came home peed again red stuff without pain. Never has happened. This happened 5-6 months ago.
What was it?

I know it is really gross, but my feet have never smelled in my life and just about 2 weeks ago my feet just started to smell. The smell has gotten worse. What should I do to get rid of the smell on my feet and in my shoes??? Thank you!!!

ok so i have a fever and an ear infection, and my throat feels swollen and soar, and i have like 10 pimples on my scalp and some really small red pimples on my upper body, like my stomach, back, and neck, it itches sometimes but not that much, and i know its not chicken pox cuz i already had chicken pox when i was a kid, do any of u know what this is? please if u know tell me!

I have an emo friend and she cuts herself all the time :(..... I want to save her life and cunsult her with a teen help line..... im only 12 and I want to save her life. Should I talk to my middle school counselor and make it anonymous? Because one daty she might cut herself real hard with a blade and pronounce herslef dead at the hospital. She is my best friend and she is cutting herself because of parental cheeting problems she says. What should i do! Now everybody is turning emo which is my friends and i want it stopped. She cuts herself with her cats nails and scissors plus razors. When she comes to schoool she has high blood marks and they are still bleeding. She could bleed herself to death. This is conserning me with the problem. Alll my friends are doing this and please help me out here. In all my conversations with them they mention suicide! I had a Lumbar Laminectomy back surgery and that didn't work. That surgery was done in 04 on my L5 disk now they want to do a anterior and a posteriorfusion. But I'm afraid because I'm overweight and the first surgery didn't help. I don't want to keep going under the knife in fear that something may go wrong. And this is a work injury so you have to wonder if maybe the doctor's are saying surgery just because.
