i dont think that suicide is as selfish as people make it out to be...most things that people do nowadays is for themselves so if a person feels as though its there time to leave then why is this selfish when they are only doing what they really want to do? okay i know it is a truely HORRIBLE thing for familys and friends to have to deal with in the aftermath but they have to think of what that person had to be going through to actually kill themselves....i am truely sorry if this question offends anybody or if anybody had to deal with the aftermath themselves...

On Saturday I didn't feel like eating much, on Sunday I threw up everything I ate (which was only oatmeal) and yesterday I had about 1000 calories and today I only have had 500. I don't feel like eating at all. I haven't eaten barely anything in the past 4 days, I have a horrible headache, especially after I get up from sitting or laying down. I am weak all over and Sunday I threw up 4 times. Today, I haven't thrown up, but I still have the same feeling and I also had a fever and my body is achey. Especially my neck, it hurts and I am very tired. I already recieved a meningitis shot..so that can't be it. What could I have?

I have been trying my best to drink water, even though I feel nauseous. I haven't thrown up since Sunday but still feel this way, what could be wrong with me?

A 68 year old patient w/ Alzheimer disease was broughtto the emergency room by the staff of a local nursing home. He presented as lethargic w/ a sallow complexion. He had an admission temperture of 102.4F and a respiratory rate of 33/ minute. During respiration, the right side of his chest moved better than the left. He showed dense consolidation of the lower lobe of the left lung on the physical exam. A sputum sample revealed blood and a greenish color. A chest x-ray showed tight consolidation of the left lung with evidence of formation of cavities in the lung tissue from cytotoxic damage. The patient complained of chills in the exam room, combined with his fever. A smear of his sputum demonstrated no acid-fast bacteria.

What is the diagnosis?
What is the etiologic agent?
How was this disease probably acquired?

My geography teacher always has the curaints closed in the classroom and she has them pinned together so they can't be opened. Even the other teachers that go in after her for the next period or whatever, have to keep them closed. She is an older teacher, and she's from India. She warned us at the start of the year, to NEVER touch the curtains or we will regret it. Other teachers tell us that kids who have touched her curtains in the past have been suspended.

But what is the big deal? She's not some depressed person who wants no sunlight or anything, she's actually very funny at times, but why would she need them closed? Some kids say skin cancer, and others say that if a sun ray touches her, she will die.

I took my two green pills for the beginging of my fourth week of the month on Sunday and Monday. I got my wisdom teeth out Monday and have not been on antibiotics for it. I went under a general anesthetic for the procedure and am only taking oxycodone for pain. My boyfriend and I are sexually active and I am panicing that I could be pregnant although he has never ejaculated inside of me. Today is only Tuesday but I would usually have my period by now. I was wondering if the anesthetic or pain killers or just stress could be the reason I'm late or if I could be pregnant?

When I was one, I had rhumatoid arthritis, a few years ago (when I was 16) I found out that I had bulging discs in my spine. The pain was intense! I got epidural steriod injections for a long time and I was on physical therapy for about 3 months at no cost to me becuase I was still a child, but when I turned 18 my Partners for Healthy Children benefits ran out (South Carolina). The shots cost about 700 dollars a piece and I obviously can't afford that. The pain is still intense every once in a while. Any programs out there that can help me in SC or anywhere else?
