On Saturday I didn't feel like eating much, on Sunday I threw up everything I ate (which was only oatmeal) and yesterday I had about 1000 calories and today I only have had 500. I don't feel like eating at all. I haven't eaten barely anything in the past 4 days, I have a horrible headache, especially after I get up from sitting or laying down. I am weak all over and Sunday I threw up 4 times. Today, I haven't thrown up, but I still have the same feeling and I also had a fever and my body is achey. Especially my neck, it hurts and I am very tired. I already recieved a meningitis shot..so that can't be it. What could I have?
I have been trying my best to drink water, even though I feel nauseous. I haven't thrown up since Sunday but still feel this way, what could be wrong with me?

Friend - The typical stomach virus lasts from 24 to 48 hours. You are likely at this point dehydrated from being ill which can, unbelieveably, cause you to be nauseaus and dizzy and to continue to be ill. I am concerned about your exact knowledge of your intake of calories as well. Please see a doctor as soon as possible and describe all you have told us. GBU

Take your temp. first thing in the morning. If you still have a temp, you should be seen by a Dr. If not, get some Pedialyte from the grocery store and sip on that. You have to be dehydrated by this time. Water and sodas will not help at this point. You need to replace electrolytes that have been lost vomiting. When did you get the meningitis vaccine? If you can't put your chin on your chest, you need to be seen by Dr. ASAP.

Feel better, i'll be prayin for ya :)
Ps
ive been takin' ginger root pills, u can get them @ walmart for a cheap price. take the food slowly, 1st just have A LITTLE chicken broth, then if u can keep that in your stomach eat a little more, and so on. in a couple of days eat chicken noodle soup with SOME crackers. that should do the trick!! SIP clear liquids and/or gaterade(not powerade it has more sugar in it)!

Probably the flu. Ginger ale, water. Try to keep hydrated, if you can. If it lasts any longer, go to the doc or ER.
That's how I found out I was diabetic. My blood sugar was really high. I had aches and fever, and couldn't even keep water down.

Maybe you have the flu. Any number of viruses can make you feel that way. If it persists, see a doctor. You may need antibiotics to get rid of it.

you could have food poisoning, but oatmeal isn't usually a culprit. it also sounds like the flu, especially if you have a fever along with all your symptoms. you should see a doctor if it doesn't stop!
