no matter how much you squish the tube how come it doesn't mix

The different colours are in different and separate sections of the toothpaste tube, mind you, I'll be buying some to check on this.

it is the way it is in the container and since it is coming out of a perfect circle of a hole it doesnt distort but try this get some aquafresh and squeeze half of it out then squeeze the tube with the lid on to mix it up then the stripes wont be there

I think there may be individual compartments within the tube....good question...you can bet when my current tube is done, I'll be cutting it open to see for myself.
