Friend - Yes, tell your doctor that you do not feel ready yet to go off the medicine. Two months is NOT the recommended course of treatment. Is he concerned about other health concerns...if so, he should tell you, and the ultimate decision should be yours. GBU

Unless you are having bad side effects, it makes NO sense to stop after only two months. That's just when they are finally working to their full potential. As others have said, usually they are used for at least 6 months. With chronic depression it is usually much longer. They recommend being on them and stabilized for at least a year or so before going off of them and even then, the chance for recurrence is high. You should ask your doctor exactly why they think you should go off them. And yes, the dr should listen to the patient. You are a partner in treatment, you pay them to be your partner, not a god.

i have suffered from varying degrees of depression for the past 5 years now, so i speak from experience when i say that u should NEVER quit taking anti depressants after only 2 months !!! it takes between 2 and 3 months just for u to feel their full effect. the shortest time u should ever be recommended to take them for is 6 months, and i know of 2 other people who are also on anti depressants who have also been told this by their doctors. i think that u should change your doctor. either go with a recommendation from a friend / family member, or ask the receptionist at the doctors surgery which doctor she would recommend for treating patients with stress / depression problems. that's what i did, and i ended up finding a really helpful doctor who was interested in mental health. just because the doctor u have at the moment is a GP, it doesn't mean that he (or she) knows much about mental health issues, most doctors like to specialise in certain branches of medicine... please try to find one that is more sympathetic and clued up on the problems u are going through. don't settle for someone who really doesn't know what they are talking about. good luck !!!

I examine that too. I have been given the pamplet from the physician's workplace. It stated in no way pull returned a boys foreskin and that i've got faith it honestly stated until he's approximately 2 years previous (do no longer take my be conscious on right age) yet on condition that he has been circumcised and it starts off to do what they call 'bridging', then definite it needs to be corrected yet no longer something ought to be accomplished if he hasn't been cir'd. i could see yet another physician good away previously it is too overdue so which you would be able to make certain that no injury has been accomplished. desire your boy is okay...poor infant. next time in the journey that your coronary heart is telling you something is incorrect, then it probable is. My son is circumcised and his tip of his penis (reckoning on no be counted if he had an entire moist diaper, if he's had a tub) nevertheless gets a sprint purplish yet each thing is working wonderful and it is common. no longer relatively pink yet slightly.

Maybe the meds leave a bad effect and the doctor knows this...
But if you think they are helping you discuss this with him.....
