My mum had suffered a little with her heart a while back and it no longer causes her great discomfort, however she suffered a brain hemorage earlier this year, to wich we nearly lost her. She was desperatley advised and begged to stop smoking and drink less. But 4 months on and after lots of promises being made and broken, i have once again caught her smoking. I know she's my mum and that she is an adult, but i cant help but feel that at me being nearly 24, that i fear for her health, far more then she does herself. I honestly thought that after all the tears and fear brought to her attention after the time she was caught before, that she would kick the habbit. I had been encouraging her by saying shes doing well, and that were all proud of her and we got into a routine of spending nights in watching films with the money she had saved through not smoking - well so i thought. I am desperate to help her, but how can i help her more?id appreciate any advise, please....

ROME (Oct. 22) - Pope Benedict told scientists on Saturday that by believing only in "artificial intelligence" and technology they risked the fate of the mythical Icarus, whose home-made wings melted when he flew too close to the sun.

"Contemporary life gives pride of place to an artificial intelligence ever more enslaved to experimental tecnhiques, thereby forgetting that all science should safeguard mankind and promote his tendency to authentic goodness," the Pope said.

The German-born Pope, a theology professor and an enforcer of Vatican dogma before his election as pontiff last year, has voiced his concerns about some areas of scientific research that clash with the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.

Like his predecessor Pope John Paul II, Benedict is against stem cell technology, which researchers say could help cure serious illnesses but the Church opposes it because it often relies on cells from embryo tissue.

If it is not too much trouble you may need a calendar for this one....

Ok...I started my period on Sept. 30th. It was only 3 days and not "normal" to me. I have had outrageously sore boobs, tender and swollen, that even wake me up at night if i sleep on them. And I have blue veins showing. And a recent development is it seems my nips are getting bigger!
When my stomach is empty (When Im hungry) I am ill, when I eat I am fine......It should be the other way around if it was PMS for me.
Not only that, but I have had very, very, mild cramps and if you look at a calendar, I am nowhere near supposed to start my period. (30 day cycle.)
I sleep up to 10 hours a day and could sleep more....
I took a test 5 days ago....it showed a faint positive within the time limit, but faded out almost immediately. I plan to take another, on Wed. morning....


On a scale of 1- 10 how possible is it that I could be preg. ?

Has anyone else experienced sympt's this early or know someone who has?

I came to know about OMEGA-3 on Discovery chanel.They showed some chidren not intrested in studies, used to take OMEGA-3 capsules & after 6 months they started taking intrest in studies & their academic performance improves a lot. well i got them peirced couple of weeks ago again for the second time in the same whole in the ear lope i let them close for while then decided to get them repierced well the rotate on itching onside would itch one day then the next year would do it. i do clean them so i was just wondering why do they do this its been a long time since i had them peirced so i forget if this is normal. I know its not an allergic reaction bc they are real gold and i am only alegic to the fake jewlery. I know this is real bc i bought it a very trustable jewely store.
