I have a circumsicion scar and I had it done years ago but I still get an itch or sting on it from time to time. I've heard scars itch but Im worried it could mean its something worse. So, can anyone please tell me if its really a normal thing for a scar to itch after years of it being there.

it causes bacteremia- A sample of blood on a slide was shown in an example of treating someone who had bacteria in their blood-with substance called Goji- a Himalayan berry. The specimen looked as though it had some small cocci moving among the rbc's- but I was taught that the blood could not have bacteria in it, unless the person was in a dangerous condition.

How do you make your self or practice how to think and react faster...

Like the people in the military are training to think quickly during battle and martial artists have higher/better reflexes then normal people..

I'm a senior in high school, and I have applied to a few state universities. My cousin, who is a graduate of UC Berkeley, says that going to a JC then transferring to a UC will yield a better chance of getting into Med School. Does anyone know if it really makes a difference, since it will be a transfer? I would really rather just go to a State than transferring to a UC.

Also, I want to get a BS in Nursing as an undergraduate. In order to get into Med School, will I be at a better advantage if I got a BS in Biology-Physiology, or a BS in Biology-Microbiology instead of Nursing?

Hello, about 4 days ago I had heart palpitations in the car on the way to work, so I cut back on my daily cup of coffee, but this did not work, they came back at least once a day. Now I notice that when I get up my heart feels like its pounding in my chest, like I just ran a sprint, then it cools down after 10 seconds. I haven't really worked out for the past month due to my job, but before that I would workout every other day, lift weights, etc. Could I already be getting out of shape, or could something else be causing this? I have cut all all caffeine, alcohol, but something just doesn't feel right, I was thinking it might be this wisdom tooth that is coming through, my breath is horrible.. could this be causing anything?

I think i get sleepy when i am in motion... many a times i sit in a car as a passenger or even as a driver, i tend to get sleepy and its not something i would like to happen when i am driving. So, i would get some cofee or some kind of a distraction like chew gum or something and that would keep me awake. Then all of a sudden after i am done with driving, i am back to normal with no urge to sleep. Anyone has any such experience.

i went to Sav Ons the other day to take my blood pressure
(im a teenage male, 5'3, about 115 lbs)
on the machine, it indicated what the #s meant:
the normal blood pressure was 130 and below
131-140 being normal to high
140+ = high blood pressure

but i got 108 over 69 is that too low?
i don't seem to be sick often or have any health conditions,
can anyone analyze my results? and how can i work on improving my blood pressure to the normal rate?

It may be so that they have I'm just not sure that I have ever been made aware of it. If not possibly a way to fend off one flu is to infect someone with another. I know wishful thinking but I am curious just the same. I'm not a medical person so be merciful in your comments.

My wife was hit by a car but now is relatively O.K
To make her feel more independent I left all the bills in her name
but now she can't say no to the door to door sales people.
It costs $50 every time she swaps power companies and Its becoming a problem.
I don't want to make her cry and I want to avoide preaching to her
Any ideas on how to bring this up would be helpful

I'm 43 years old and seem to be starting into perimenopause. Tonight I have tingling in my cheeks and a hot feeling, although I'm not hot to touch. I don't know if it's symptoms of perimenopause or to do with my thyroid. The thyroid is gone and today they said my thyroid is low so they are increasing the dose. I hope that helps. Has anyone else experienced that with perimenopause? The hot flushing has gone on all evening. I'm tremendously tired lately during the daytime. I don't have health insurance so my doctor is treating me conservativly.
