Hello, about 4 days ago I had heart palpitations in the car on the way to work, so I cut back on my daily cup of coffee, but this did not work, they came back at least once a day. Now I notice that when I get up my heart feels like its pounding in my chest, like I just ran a sprint, then it cools down after 10 seconds. I haven't really worked out for the past month due to my job, but before that I would workout every other day, lift weights, etc. Could I already be getting out of shape, or could something else be causing this? I have cut all all caffeine, alcohol, but something just doesn't feel right, I was thinking it might be this wisdom tooth that is coming through, my breath is horrible.. could this be causing anything?

The two are most likely unrelated. The pounding in your chest is called palpitations and is most likely being caused by an underlying cardiac condition. Sometimes, athletes tend to have this when they stop working out because their bodies are used to conditioning.

I would seek treatment from a cardiologist before working out or getting any dental work. If you do have a cardiac condition, getting dental work can cause a mitral valve problem because the bacteria from your teeth can affect your heart.

i do not think a wisdom tooth could do all that but im not a doctor. But i would doubt that this is caused by a tooth. I would seriously consider making an appointment with you doctor. Tell him/her what is going on.
good luck

The cause could be lack of iron in the body or some other nutrients it might crave. Getting tired easily could be tied with some sort of underdevelopment of the heart or stress. I would look more into this.

I would see a doctor but it could be that because of your wisdom tooth you are noticing other things going on in your body.

you need your heart checked. It could be a mitral valve prolapse. Tell these symptoms to your doctor.

The fact that you say your breath is horrible might mean that you have diabetes. Uncontrolled diabetes have a fruity or urine smell to their breath.
