Are you sitting up straight, or lounging on your tail bone? You may have once broken you tail, bone (coccyx) at one time. If it gives you a lot of pain, then I recommend that you tell your doctor & get an XRay of it to see if it is displaced or something.
Good luck!

Actually this is a fairly common alignment, especially among females within there basic weight range. The answer is simple and primitive. Ever heard of the sacroiliac bone. Better known at the tail bone. We have this little bit of a tail at the end of our spinal column, left over from hundreds of years ago, serves no functional usage today, just causes some individual pain. Switch setting positions frequently, adjust from side to side prior to the notice of pain and discomfort. This should help some. Thanks for the opportunity of answering an ancient question about our spinal anatomy. Good Luck, Take Care.

I'll kiss it! LOL Just kidding, sort of.... I get the same thing, but only in chairs or seats that don't support the lower back very well, or have terrible or no padding. if it's the tailbone in your back that hurts, try a lumbar roll, which will help support your lower back. If it's your butt, try bringing your own extra cushion, like one of those stadium seat pads that you bring to football games. or may i offer my lap services! hope this helps!

It depends if you had a fall and landed on your bottom or someone/something hit you on the bottom, then you may have a fracture coccyx bone.
If you have numbness or pins and needles, or problems urinating you need to see you doctor straight away, as you may have a serious injury to you spinal cord. If you leave it too long you may be irreversible damage.
See your doctor anyway.

Try to sit up straight. Maybe its due to bad posture when you sit? I had a similar problem and after a few days of sitting properly, it stopped hurting.

Have you tail bone removed, I barely ever use mine for tail related things (wagging when happy, hanging from trees, etc.,) any more
So just get it removed, doctors will remove them as long as you can prove you are not going to sell it on the black market once it has been removed.

Sounds like you have a lower back problem or possible kidney trouble! I would see a doctor if I were you!

ALways leaning to one side or the other.
Or sitting on a crossed leg.
I feel your pain.

you need to see a chiropractor for an adjustment, and see if that feels better, otherwise you may need a deep tissue massage or, hopefully not, back surgery
