Several years to heal completely, but you would begin to feel the benefits within a month.
You can speed the healing process by accelerating the ejection of toxins. This can be done by having regular fasts, of say three or five days. Fasting with just water and orange juice removes toxins, and the build up of crud in our intestinal system. This in turn enables our organs to function more efficiently, and therefore helps us to heal faster.

See above answer for time line but as a former smoker I urge you, I implore you QUIT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I smoked for 40 years and quit 5 years ago. Smoking aged me by at least 5 years, when I catch colds the cough goes on and on, it will be at least another 5 years before my chances of getting lung cancer start to go down. Quitting smoking was one of the hardest things I ever had to do and not one day goes by that I do not want a cigarette. But now I don't stink, which you do, my clothes don't stink, which yours do, and my breath does not stink, which yours does. Smoking will ruin your appearance and could kill you. So make the sane choice and QUIT!!!!!!!!!!!

As soon as you stop, your body will start to recover by increasing oxygen levels, it will take longer to repair all the damage, but you will start to feel the benefits in a few weeks.
