Adherence to exercise is not an easy task. Ive had my share of relapses but have learned a lot from them.
First, physiologically speaking, its easier to exercise in the afternoon and you can exert yourself to a greater extent. However seeing a good portion of people dont come home until the evening, finding alternatives could be an option.
You can find activities such as squash, tennis, basketball that you and a friend enjoy and take it up. This way, not only will you enjoy the activity, you will have the support of another which will help you adhere better. If this is not possible or is not for you, you can perhaps join organized classes like a spinning class.
Sometimes, when you pay good money, you want to get your money's worth. Also, you arent answering to yourself anymore. You have an instructor and a class to attend to which serves as further motivation.
Also, although costly, having a treadmill in the basement is a lot more convenient and saves you the trip to the local gym. If you already have equipment and just lack motivation, then i suggest finding books that outline the tremendous upsides of exercise, physically and psychologically and socially
Hope that helps.

Do exercises that you can do on the bed before you get up for the day. Range of motion exercises are best. Works all of your joints and keeps them well oiled. Play music that is upbeat, if you can, while you exercise. It makes it more fun and you get energy from the music. It also starts your day off in a positive mood.
At work take a break about once every hour or so. Take a walk inside (walk up or down the stairs) or outside, whatever is available. You will feel better physically and mentally, and you will feel better about yourself. Look over your shoulder, you may find out that you have company!

Try to buy some DVD's with exercise and music to stimulate you, switch off your phone, computer, get into the gear and do it! If you find it difficult in the morning do it evening time instead, or alternate. Set yself achievable goals, if nothing above helpes join the gym. You will see in the gym other people making an effort and you will feel that you can do it to.

Well you said it yourself - if you're lazy - you have to stop being lazy.
Just do it.... there is no magic cure for laziness. The only cure is dragging your a r s e out of the chair and doing it.
One might get a handful of their own hair, preferably the hair on your head, if you don't have any on your hair, your chest hair would be the next option, if you have not chest hair, you might resort to armpit hair or 'other hair'. Drag yourself by your hair over to a gym, or just to wherever it is you keep your running shoes. You may need to let go of your hair to tie your shoes. Once you have tied your shoes you will need to get that fistful of hair and drag yourself out the door. Once out the door, drag yourself around the neighbourhood, or through a park. You may jog or walk, you will need both arms so it may be necessary to let go of your hair at this stage - especially if you are using your armpit hair.
Public shame does not play into the equation when you are getting fit. I always look at people jogging down the road, and the more jelly they have to jiggle the better. I admire people who know they need to get into shape, they know they look bad but still get out in full view of the world and - shake it !!
Go for it - let nothing stop you. Sweat yourself silly.

Dont think about it --- just do it!!!!
then do it again and then do it again until it becomes a habit
Believe me it becomes addictive and it ewont take long to become a habit
And you meet such nice people out there.
And by the way you only need to comb your hair . It doesny matter what you wear
