I'm not saying it's the most dangerous, but when's the last time you saw on the news "Man shot after trying to buy alcohol from a drug dealer"? I doubt you have. Alcohol may kill more people, but marajuana leaves a much more destructive path. Don't judge me so quickly, i'm not saying that it's not a useful drug in the medical field, but i'm sure that they can come up with a better painkiller. But i'm only against it when it's used as a drug for recreation.

I had Atrial fibrillation in January 2006. I have been doing OK since then. I was prescribed 50 mg of Atelonol, but have been taking only half of the dosage during the last two months. I finally got my heart tests results yesterday (8/2/2006) and the stress test was negative as well as the X-rays. The doctor said, “You didn’t have irregular heartbeat and no anomalies were found. The nuclear test was also good.” I was so happy! Then he checked the Echo and said, “You have an enlarged left atrium.” Now I am so scared that I can drop dead at any time. I feel energetic, my cholesterol is good, and I have no hypertension. Nobody has had heart attacks in my family and I am (female) in my30's.

I have been on both sides of the spectrum. My mom died of cancer five month's ago, we had the local hospice org. that I had previously worked for and that she was the longest standing volunteer for. It was a great comfort to my family. I am now the managing RN of a hospice group in a town near my hometown.

Everyone wants it to be legal, but if it was, would you smoke it? You might think it's cool, but if it is, why is it illegal. Cigarettes give you lung cancer, but that's over a long period of time, and people can quit on their own. Marajuana, on the other hand, makes you mentally unable to do certian things, like anything that requires logic, and it's bad for your mind. The government could tax it and make money, but is that worth millions of people's health? It wouldn't cut down all the crime, because there are a ton of other drugs. Does anyone think heroin should be legal? No, because "it's too dangerous" well so is marajuana, just not quite as much. Think before you say "legalize it"
