I'm not saying it's the most dangerous, but when's the last time you saw on the news "Man shot after trying to buy alcohol from a drug dealer"? I doubt you have. Alcohol may kill more people, but marajuana leaves a much more destructive path. Don't judge me so quickly, i'm not saying that it's not a useful drug in the medical field, but i'm sure that they can come up with a better painkiller. But i'm only against it when it's used as a drug for recreation.

I'm totally with you on that one! Drugs for recreation in general are all, in my honest opinion and secondhand experience, the worst thing to grace the face of the earth. I hate hate hate them. The government just wants to make us think they're making an active effort to stop drug abuse by making a bunch of cheesy ads against alchohol and tobacco, and they never really go after the worse drugs, like marijuana or cocaine. The news is constantly talking about drugs and gangs and such, and nobody ever does anything. You're totally right with all of that.

My guess is you've been posting questions about this and I've missed them. (Perhaps I should research that, yeah?)

I don't see how marijuana leaves a more destructive path than alcohol. Marijuana, I think, can make it easier for someone to want or be willing to try harder drugs. But not everyone is like that, though. There's a whole bunch of folks who just do pot and that's it. Also, I've had the fortune (or misfortune, depending on how you look at it) to know plenty of "potheads" over the years (mostly when I was younger). They seemed to have more problems with their drug dealers over harder drugs than marijuana itself. So--at this point, anyway--I'm not sure I see how marijuana leaves a more destructive path.

I don't necessarily support marijuana for recreational use, either, (long-term use can certainly have an effect on those brain cells!), but it doesn't seem right to cite someone or throw 'em in jail for tokin' on a smoke every now and then. As far as drugs go marijuana's the least physically-harmful (not if it's done everyday for years on end, however), I think. And, who am I to judge the person who wants to have a joint after they've worked 10 days straight or whatever?

Just my two cents...

All drug-related crime is caused by the fact that it's illegal. Just like with the alcohol gangs and murders during Prohibition.
