I was told that salt is not goo for your bladder and skin. Is this true, does salt dry out your skin. Does salt irritate your bladder wall?

I'm a near vegan and have been for almost two years, I don't eat eggs, meat, fish etc but I do eat cheeses. And in these past weeks its been harder for me to stay this way.

Mainly because of eggs. Everything I mean EVERYTHING has eggs in them. I recently found out that my favorite chocolate bar (snickers) contains eggs and that my favorite type of food (italian) contains eggs aswell and i've been eating them for quite a while.

and I keep finding out almost everything contains animal in it. and its starting to annoy the hell out of me.

I hate salad and I can't eat the samething everyday.

What do you vegans normally eat? Have any tips on what I should/can buy?

I'm a teenager so I don't like cooking, but if I have to then I guess I will. I honestly haven't cooked an actual meal in over a year too.

My friend used to be a vegan but her parents and doctor are forcing her to eat meat now. She told me that her stomach was eating itself from not enough protein..and she said that it's ulcers.

Is that possible? I thought that ulcers was caused from a bacteria. I've been a lacto vegetarian for almost a year (but i educated myself about it and make sure to get enough of everything) and I haven't been effected by anything like that.

Thanks for your help!

I'm a vegetarian and I love being one for the sake of my fellow sentient beings. I am also a very spiritual person and in being this way I think about the life of all creatures on earth. I was researching Buddhism and admire their dedication to life and compassion towards sentient beings. But in researching Jainism I came across something, somewhat disturbing to me as a vegetarian. They believe that even eating vegetables can harm life because insects and such are killed when planting vegetables. They hold this belief so strongly that they believe that dying of starvation is the ultimate practice of non-violence. Now I began to see that they have a point so I ask myself and others with similar beliefs, how far do we go since technically it will never be enough?

You've gone to the fridge for a snack and don't want to make 2 trips. With a beverage and dip in one hand, would it be wrong to slip carrot stix between all of your toes and walk on your heels back to the couch?

Do you know of any facewash and lotion or soaps for adults and babies that don't use animal glycerin or gelatin in them that are common in the supermarket or drugstores? I have always had problems finding a good product again in other stores.

Anybody that buys this, please let me know where you get it from. NYC, Brooklyn, etc I don't care. I live in an Asian area with ethnic grocery stores and Surprisingly no one carries Seitan in their stores. I would like to make it instead of paying to eat out. The restaurant I go to makes it from scratch so they couldn't tell me what store sells it already formed. I heard of the White Wave brand but who carries that?

my friend was telling me about one of his friends who is a vegetarian but she takes a teaspoon of fish oil every day. First of all what does that do? and second wouldn't that mean she's not technically vegetarian? also are there any vitamins you'd recommend for vegetarians to take? i know iron and protein are important and often come up short in a vegetarian diet but is there like a multivitamin for vegetarians specifically?

I really want to eliminate meat from animals from my diet but I find it very hard to do. When I tried for two months a few years ago, I ended up looking anorexic because I lost so much weight.

How can I become a healthy vegetarian? And can I be a veggie (not Vegan) while keeping Sushi/Fish in my diet?

Serious answers only please .......thanks xo

Im not actually a kid, im just really picky. I've tried only one kind of vegetarian meat and I couldn't stand it. It tasted spongey and dry. Does anyone have any good recipes (healthy please)? They can contain soy and tofu, just hopefully it tastes ok.

Or more to the point, why have I, a dedicated omnivore and professional chef, ended up dating so many vegetarians/ vegans? My last two serious relationships (2+ yrs) have been with a vegetarian (but she loved cheese, so we bonded over that) and a strict vegan (she checks labels for whey protien and cassien.) Why? I haven't had meat in my fridge in 5 years!
