I've not heard that, your body needs a certain amount of salt to function correctly and it goes through your kidneys first if you have far too much salt it can affect your kidneys. Too much salt will give you high blood pressure, processed foods contain a lot of salt this can sometimes been in hidden salts like different chemical forms of sodium. I suffer from low sodium, hyponatremia, so I have to have extra salt only I also have high blood pressure, I'm lucky my doctors are very good and I'm monitored carefully. Everyone needs salt only not too much, do a search of different names used for salt/sodium and you'll be surprised how many chemical names will come up.

Salt, or sodium is a necessary component for many bodily functions. If our bodies didn't have salt, we would die.
Excessive salt can cause high blood pressure and other health problems. Severe hypertension could damage the kidneys and urinary system. Excessive salts and other colloids could form kidney and bladder stones, so you could say it can harm the bladder.
I guess excessive salt intake could dry out skin as well if the person didn't have adequate water intake. In nursing school they told us to look at the patient's skin to see if it was "well hydrated."

Too much salt is bad for the whole body, especially the heart. It was once thought that it was responsible for raising blood pressure, but this is currently under dispute.
Too much salt in your system has the potential to damage kidneys, liver and the brain, but we're talking a large amount here. In a child, however, high salt levels can be fatal.
Like anything, salt needs to taken in moderation. You just need to watch how much you have each day.

Salt is o.k in reasonable quantities, for your bladder and skin, too much is bad. A lot of water intake is good for salt lovers.

The only thing that is bad for my bladder is YOU!! Cos you piss me off!!!! I have been away from this forum for some time - come back & you are still here spouting your ill founded, ill researched vegan nazi drivel - you have the temerity to critiscize peoples grammar, spelling etc yet you are an ill educated daughter of an immigrant nation (America to you!!) You are still an American muppet but no where near as entertaining as Jim Henson`s creations!! G`wan report me!! I can destroy you verbally at any given opportunity- if you want to expand your limited vocabulary invest in Roget`s Thesaurus, at least your put downs could be witty & not limited to "moron, troll" & the like!! You are still a class A1 MUPPET!!!

i've never heard of salt being bad for your skin or bladder. but it is essential for the body, in small quantities, depending on your lifstyle, and the climate you live in, the more you sweat the more you need. excess salt can cause a lot of effects even death, but too much salt can also lead to gaul stones and craps (lack of salt can give cramps too)

Is not the salt that's bad for you, it's the amount you eat if it's excessive or deficient. Like with most things moderation in the key here.

he'd just need to give it a good rinse immediately and it would wash it away, also, it's not going to stick to your hands, so just rinsing his hands was good enough. the salt water even helps more, so nothing to worry about.
