I realize that's not usually the case. I'm just reading about the benefits of coconut water and they're amazing. I'm trying to figure out if I can order some online or if I need to get actual coconuts. I'm not sure if the packaged products are going to have the same nutritional benefits or not. If anyone has any experience with this, has good links, lives in countries where this is commonplace....... I'd love to hear about it. Thanks.

I am not trying to be sarcastic here, but I have to know if you have ever thought about this, and if so, how you get around it.

As a vegetarian or Vegan, you do not eat any product made of animals. Some of you eat fish, milk, and eggs depending on the kind of vegetarian you are. However, when crops like soy beans, wheat, corn, cabbage, etc... are harvested, sometimes bugs, snakes, and small rodents get chewed up and grinded by the harvesting machine. So there is a potential that even in vegeatarian food that there may be animal parts in the food somehow. Has anyone ever thought about that? and can you truly say you are a vegetarian knowing this fact? Are there known products that you use that specifically say no animal products whatsoever? and can they even prove that it's true?

I'm just asking the question. I'm not trying to be rude or funny, but this has been something I have wanted to know for a while.

....that you either didnt know existed or hadn't eaten in years?
I feel like i have re-discovered salad and raw foods such as fruits and vegetables and it is amazing! A typical meal for me would have been a piece of meat and rice, or a potato and MAYBE a canned vegetable....

Ok so after I saw this peta thing called "meet your meat" plus finding out Frank Iero encourages vegetarianism, I've decided to become a vegetarian, and I'm serious about it.

But I have one question:

My english teacher likes to bake us cookies, and they are amazing!
I was wondering, since part of vegetarianism is not eating eggs, can I still have her cookies [she uses eggs in them]?

Thanks!

Personally, I believe it's morally wrong to eat the dead flesh of animals. However, I have noticed that meat eaters attempt to hide their guilt by calling it a personal choice. I guess if someone ate your kids, that would be a personal choice? It is laughable some of the excuses meat eaters will come up with to try and justify the murder of innocent animal beings.

So I was out at a restaurant with some friends (and friends of friends that I don't really know) and about halfway through the meal someone asked me if I wanted to taste a bite of their dish, and I said "no thanks, I'm vegetarian" since it was a meat dish. She stopped eating at that point, just kind of played around with her food, and ate the sides.

Afterwards, someone else told me that it was rude of me to "remind" her about the fact that it comes from animals, thereby "ruining" her meal.

What do you make of this?

Bath and Body Works always has this sentence on their products. I just wonder why they put the word "finished" in there. Does that mean that while they are working on coming up with products, the in between stages ARE tested on animals?

These are the ingredients for a Pizza ice cream wich I'm planning on making for a party in a few weeks, I'd like to know what can be used instead of the 'animal' products and whether it would effect the taste at all-

INGREDIENTS:
1/2 cup walnut or pecan pieces
1/4 cup butter
3 ounces coarsely chopped unsweetened chocolate
1 cup sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 cup all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

canned whipped cream
various decorative candies

A lot of people have told me it is unhealthy. Is it unhealthier? I already don't drink milk, eat eggs, and i stopped eating cheese. I also stay away from sour cream. I can't get myself to give away butter quite yet, but I am trying. Any tips on how i can make it easier?

I am a meat eater, and will eat almost anything, not very picky. Just curious, is it because of the treatment to animals, the taste, for health, ect, ect. Please explain?

I've tried all my life to avoid all products who's origin stems from a company that tests on animals and I've come to the conclusion that I'd have to live in a cave, eat moss and drink rainwater to achieve this.

I get to thinking, what's the point of trying when virtually everyone else goes out and buys these products anyway?

So do you avoid buying products tested on animals? Do you even bother looking?

to come onto the veggie section and then make funny remarks

Oh my aching sides, how witty to suggest a lamb chop of greasy fry up when the question is obviously aimed at vegetarians.

Doh, at least try to be original or better still keep to the food and drink sections, why waste your time on a sectio that obviously doesnt interest you?
I doubt veggies would bother to answer a meat question.

Ok so you eat meat........ we eat veggies, viva la difference!! live and let live I say!
