These are the ingredients for a Pizza ice cream wich I'm planning on making for a party in a few weeks, I'd like to know what can be used instead of the 'animal' products and whether it would effect the taste at all-

INGREDIENTS:
1/2 cup walnut or pecan pieces
1/4 cup butter
3 ounces coarsely chopped unsweetened chocolate
1 cup sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 cup all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 gallon ice cream (strawberry for pizza color)
canned whipped cream
various decorative candies

Sugar - you can try vegan sugar, they sell it at Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, online, etc. You can use raw cane sugar, but there is a measuring discrepancy.

Eggs - 1/4 c. applesauce per egg

Butter - vegan margarine, or even Crisco shortening (which is vegan)

Ice Cream - You can purchase strawberry soy ice cream at Whole Foods or Trader Joe's or health food stores; I even see stores like Jewel-Osco and Dominicks stocking them now.

Whipped cream - There is a soy whipped topping that you can buy in Whole Foods, last I checked, I think it is by a company called "Soyatoo?"

unsweetened chocolate - you can use chopped vegan dark chocolate pieces, in fact most GOOD dark chocolate should not have dairy ingredients, that's what makes milk chocolate, in my opinion. Ghiaridelli's has a dairy-free dark chocolate option, or, yes, hit up Whole Foods. Try online as well.

For the butter, use Willow Run sticks. I use sticks in baking and cooking and Earth Balance spread for eating.
For the sugar, make sure it's turbinado sugar or evaporated cane juice.
For the eggs, mix 1 tbsp of Ener-G Egg Replacer with 4 tbsp water before adding to the batter.
For the ice cream, try to find soy ice cream. I believe Soy Delicous Purely Decadent has a strawberry ice cream, but it only comes in pint containers. I know they have quart containers, but I'm not sure strawberry is an option for that size.
Soyatoo has a vegan whipped cream that comes in a spray can.

And can you send me the recipe? It sounds good!

EGG SUBSTITUTES

ONE (1) egg equals any one of the following:

2 Tbs. flour
½ tsp. oil
½ tsp. baking powder
2 Tbs. liquid

2 Tbs. water
1 Tbs. oil
½ tsp. baking powder

1 Tbs. flaxseed* (ground in coffee mill)
3 Tbs. warm water

1 Tbs. gelatin or fruit pectin
3 Tbs. warm water

Yogurt, mashed banana, applesauce, pumpkin, or other pureed fruit or vegetables are good replacements for eggs in muffins or cakes.

To replace eggs in casseroles, burgers, or loaves try mashed vegetables, tahini, (sesame seed butter) nut butters or rolled oats.

* Flaxseed is a wonderful source of Biomega Three Fatty acids that our bodies need and usually don’t get enough of.

and then just use a soy ice cream and whipped cream
