VEGAN CHOCOLATE CAKE

INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup white sugar
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon distilled white vinegar
1 cup water

DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease one 9x5 inch loaf pan.
Sift together the flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda and salt. Add the oil, vanilla, vinegar and water. Mix together until smooth.
Pour into prepared pan and bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 45 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool.

Ingredients

* 3 cups flour
* 2 cups sugar
* 6 tablespoons cocoa
* 2 teaspoons baking soda
* 1 teaspoon salt
* 3/4 cup vegetable oil
* 2 tablespoon vinegar (tasteless)
* 2 teaspoon vanilla
* 2 cup cold water

Directions
Mix the dry ingredients in a large bowl. Add the wet ingredients. Stir briskly until smooth and consistent. Bake two greased, floured pans at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Makes two layers of a two-layer 9-inch or 8-inch round cake, or one small sheet cake. When cool, frost it (vegan icing, of course!), and layer. Voila. Enjoy.

3 c. flour
1/3 c. cocoa
2 c. sugar
2 tspsalt
2 tsp baking soda
3/4 c. oil
2 Tbsp. vinegar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. water
Sift dry ingredients into a 9x13 cake pan make 3 wells into the dry ingredients. put vanilla in one, oil in one and vinegar in one. pour water all over and mix well with a fork. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes, depending on oven or until when you touch the center of the cake, it springs back. Used to make this all the time when I had more kids than money!

Take your favourite chocolate cake recipe and replace the eggs with egg replacer (available at most grocery stores) or use this ratio: 1 egg = 1 tablespoon of cornstarch mixed with a 1.5 tablespoons of water. Replace the milk with soy milk (So Good Soy Egg Nog is great in baking) and replace the butter with margarine or coconut oil. You can get carob instead of chocolate chips or just use coco powder.

i would tell you but i don't know how to make a normal chocolate cake, but would guest that you use vegan ingredients don't no about the eggs though.

i just buy my choc cakes from the shops much more easy then making them and no mess to clean up afterwards just the pleasure of eating it.

If the only problem is with the eggs, you can make them. I think cooks.com has some recipes.
