That's great you're interested in being vegan. Basically, eat fruits, vegetables, nuts, beans, and grains... use fake meats in your favorite recipes and meals instead of animal flesh.

It all depends on why you want to be vegan. There are plenty of books and websites that can give you recipes and ideas of what you can eat, and live in. Make sure you want to go vegan, not vegetarian or locto-vegetarian or the many different types out there. But follow your own path and cut out what you feel is wrong.
Obviously, cut out all meats, cheeses and eggs from your diet. There are several tofu recipes that are very good. Start with gathering recipes and information.

Well if you want to "do it right away" ... Move into the forest and live off nuts, berries and weeds, make your own clothes from natural fibres from plants, etc., etc. NO ANIMAL meat or hides or stuff from animals. . That's the quickest way to be sure you are doing it right.
