Informed choice! We British men and women make those informed choices too! Choices which incidentally go beyond your deliberately restrictive and negative Vegan inspired A to E choices based on deliberately misleading information. Give us the percentages of those on well balanced healthy diets including meats; poultry; dairy, pulses and vegetables who risk or suffer death by heart attack. I wager you dare not because you know they are very similar to the numbers for Vegetarians and Vegans. P.S. Are you by any chance a sexist Vegan? I know as a FACT that not every last woman in the US is a Vegetarian or a Vegan so why do you exclude them from your pontifications?

Vegan doesn't mean "no dairy". Vegan means no animal products and striving to avoid animal products & exploitation in other areas of their lives. Eggs are an animal product.

You are correct. No egg or egg products can be eaten by vegans. You can find great alternative egg products, however, if you are looking for something to bake. I'm not sure where you're at, but try Whole Food Market.

Vegans can eat what ever they want, however they choose not to eat eggs. A good rule of thumb is - nothing with a face and nothing that comes from something with a face.

Vegans can't...well won't eat anything that is made from any animal parts.
There are certain degrees of vegetarians. There are lacto-ovo vegetarians that eat both dairy and eggs. Lacto-vegetarians they don't eat any eggs. And ovo-vegetarians they don't eat any dairy.

"Vegan" means no animal products. Eggs are animal products unless they are chocolate eggs. (Not MILK chocolate, of course.)
I don't think "Cosmo" is the most reliable source of information on veganism or vegetarianism.

not and be a vegan - vegans do not eat meat or use anything that exploits animals - no honey, no eggs, no caviar, no milk, no butter, no leather to wear, no silk? not sure on that one - seems like it would be exploiting the silk worms.
