Some vegan was in my restaurant and was giving my wait staff a hard time about how her meal was prepared. After practicially causing a scene, I went out and kindly asked this woman to leave my restaurant and never come back. Comments?

Does the thought of biting into a piece of meat gross you out? I think if I ever had to eat meat again, I would throw up. I can't stand the thought of biting into an animal's flesh.

I got lectured by a mother on the fact that i was a vegetarian at the age of 18 because she said that with not eating red meat i was missing out on three essential enzymes that i need for growing and keeping me from getting sick . Please let me know what i should do someone.

At my school's cafeteria they usually serve tofu, but it's crunchy on the outside and it seems like it has a "skin" like the skin that peels off of fried chicken. It's SO GOOD! Can anyone tell me what companies the university might buy from? Or maybe a recipe equivalent (that you have actually tried)? Thanks!

I've always been fond of soy milk so I've been drinking it since I've been a vegetarian. Now, whenever I have cheese or mayo or white mocha or other dairy stuff, I get a sour stomach right away and now I'm avoiding dairy products. I think I'm developing lactose intolerance.

Would somebody please tell me what IMPORTANT minerals and vitamins and protein we really get from meat that we cant get from a vegan diet. (other than b-12).... I mean real serious answers with real back up and sources. Not off the top of your head or something that you think you know.

Also, are those really the only place you can find them. I am so tired of these meat eaters coming to the vegan boards and bashing Vegetarians and vegans saying you HAVE to eat meat to be healthy. I want real thought here, because I have been a vegan for almost 10 years and I know the answer...but do you?

And how many meat eater know as much about their diet as a vegetarian or vegan,
For the meat eater:
Where do you get your foliate, calcium, your iron and magnesium, Vitamins A, B's, C and D from? Other than a Pill?

I mean the ones who eat STRICTLY fruits & vegetables. I think those are vegans, right? Well, I learned in Biology class that it's dangerous to not have meats & proteins in your diet because you lose muscle mass.

I am just curious what most people think of vegans. What is your opinion on vegans. Do you think we are the future of a better world?

I bought some squash from a vendor and I'm not sure if it was organic. I'm kind of worried about pesticides that contain chemicals or animal products. What is the best way to clean the vegetables? I don't have a brush, so any other ways? Thanks!

I just recently became a vegetarian. and my parents aren't really too happy about it because they are worried about me getting protein. So, what are some tasty foods that provide protein??? I want my mom to stop worrying about it.

Do the meat eaters have an unhealthy preoccupation with us as vegetarians. I posed a question for vegetarians only and got twenty answers often mean and stupid from nonvegetarians advising me to eat meat or worse. For so many vegetarians this is the most important committment in our lives ie. to preserve the life of animals and to chose not to devour their flesh. I wish all vegetarians the best. but we do live in a cruel meat eating, animal suffering world to say nothing of the suffering that people inflict on other people
