There are very few places where you can buy food that doesn't sell meat. If you get your food from the supermarket you too are supporting a business that sells meat.

As far as people saying they love animals but then turning around and eating their dead flesh... Yes, that does make me mad sometimes. Genrally, if I love something I try not to eat its corpse...

Also, I think people are giving you to much crap on here. It was an honest qustion.

Oh and Nickson "You dont hear of meat eaters mocking vegans do you".... Yeah, you do. I catch **** all the time for not eating meat. I can be minding my own business... be offered food with animal product in it and simply say "no thanks, I don't eat meat and dairy" and catch a wwhole raft of *** for it.

I don't find anything wrong with a vegan "supporting" McDonalds. People here are saying that they shouldn't be giving money to a company that buys meat, but practically every restaurant and store buys meat. I highly doubt anyone who's vegan and thinks its hypocritical to eat at McDonalds only buys their groceries from a vegan supermarket and only goes to restaurants that are 100% vegan. Places that have vegan options also have meat options, so why is okay to eat there? By buying from that resturant you are giving them the money to buy the meat that makes their non-vegan dishes.

I do find it messed up when vegans eat at McDonalds, though, but thats just because practically nothing at McDonalds is vegan.

I agree that no vegetarian should buy anything at MCDs. They will just use the profit to grow thier business and kill more cows.

Personally, i see no difference between buying at MCDs and buying shares in a slaughterhouse. To me its just money going into the same industry chain

But as for getting mad ? No, there are plenty of other things to get mad about in the world. No, not mad, i just don't understand them.

Nickson says s/he hates cruelty, knows the meat industry has cruelty, and still likes to eat meat.....not much commitment to the "hates cruelty" bit is there ?

Adn the first person says they love animals and wouldn't eat a pet cow ( but presumabley would eat a cow from a farm). So...it seems you know its wrong but are ok with it so long as you don't get to see it....sorry but that is really burying your head in the sand. Where is the responsibility for your actions ?

I've got no problem with people eating meat. But at least be honest and admit you pay for the pain, cruelty and death of animals....and don't pretend you "love animals"...by buying meat you ARE agreeing with the farm industry practices...words don't count, its actions that count

Well, keep in mind that not everyone goes vegan for animal rights. I don't know what on Earth a vegan could actually eat at McDonalds, but it's their prerogative if they want to.

Calm down, live and let live. Others will always have different morals and it will seem contradictory to you sometimes. What they eat is their business.

No it doesn't make me mad at all. It is possible to eat Vegan style at McDonalds as well as many other fast food restaurants.

You will find more restaurants that serve both meat dishes and vegetarian dishes than you will find strictly vegetarian dishes.

Sorry, but I do love animals and yup, I eat meat. I have a great respect for animals, but I am not fanatical. No I don't like to see any animal killed in an inhuman way, but eating meat for me is a natural part of the circle of life. If you don't want to eat meat, then don't, but please don't disrespect me because I do.

you dont need that kind of stress while you are pregnant. If you think you can raise the baby yourself then do it otherwise I would not bring a baby in the world in a family that is going to act like that I would consider adoption because that might be best seeing how young you are. I would not keep this guy in your life and if he keeps denying he is the daddy of the baby just do a paternity test and prove him wrong. And honey are not fat you are pregnant and you have a human being in you. He is a guy guys are like that. Just ignore him and I know you think it is hard but you are better than that you have responsibilties now and if he cant grow up that is his fault.

i don't get mad, but i do find it to be hypocritical if they are vegetarian or vegan for ethical reasons. so i may lose a little respect that i had for them. i knew this one ethical vegetarian girl that worked there, that's find and all if she needed money.. but she had this stupid unity with the workers that she called "mcdonald's pride". little did she know it was nothing to be proud of. i'm sure she could have gotten another job.

I'm sorry it makes you mad, but I do love animals. Some animals are actually raised for meat and I have no qualms eating them. I would not go kill a cow and eat it myself, nor would I will one if it was someone's pet. I can't necessarily agree with the way some breeding animals are treated, but I like meat too much not to stop. And most fast food restaurants have salads and other food vegetarians can eat. I dont' usually think about where my money is going. My husband works there for goodness sakes and there's nothing wrong with that. We all need to make money somehow. And we all eat whatever we feel like eating and what tastes good to us.

Most people give their many to shady companies. We put our money in banks who focus on weaseling huge profits out of the pockets of working people. We buy shoes from companies that use slave labor and sweat shops.

I'm a vegan, and I don't like McDonald's. However, let's focus on ourselves rather than condemn others.

From About.com:

"Vegan"
From Jolinda Hackett,

Definition: Vegans do not eat meat of any kind and also do not eat eggs, dairy products, or processed foods containing these or other animal-derived ingredients such as gelatin. Many vegans also refrain from eating foods that are made using animal products that may not contain animal products in the finished process, such as sugar and some wines. Although there is some debate as to whether certain foods, such as honey, fit into a vegan diet, if you are cooking for other vegans, it is best to err on the side of caution and avoid using these foods.

Perhaps the most common question about vegan-ism is “What do vegans eat?” A vegan diet includes all grains, beans, legumes, vegetables and fruits and the nearly infinite number of foods made by combining and preparing them. Many vegan versions of familiar foods are commercially available, which means you can purchase vegan hot dogs, ice cream, yogurt, cheese and mayonnaise. Most vegans also avoid the use of all products tested on animals, as well as animal-derived non-food products, such as leather, fur and wool, whenever possible.

I highly doubt a true vegan would be seen a a McDonalds. Besides, it not like they walk around with signs over their forehead announcing their "vegan" status. Maybe you should spend more time working on your grammar skills than worrying about "vegans at McDonalds." Just a thought...
