I bought some squash from a vendor and I'm not sure if it was organic. I'm kind of worried about pesticides that contain chemicals or animal products. What is the best way to clean the vegetables? I don't have a brush, so any other ways? Thanks!

Just rinse it with water and wipe it with a paper towel. I always do that and I'm worried about pesticides too. You could also pour vegetable oil on it and boil it, that kills the bacteria on it too. Use rags if necassary. Hope that helped!

Rinse with water. Although pesticides are bad, people by and large overreact.

I remember when I was in school there was a scare because of some pesticide and apples. I had friends mom who packed him extra twinkies instead of fruit out of fear of pesticides. The contaminated fruit was better for him than the twinkies.

Soak in water for a few minutes and then drain the water. Buy a brush or a rag / towel so that you can scrub the outer surface.

Washing machine. Delicate cycle. Why is it so hard to buy a brush? Actually if you really want to be sure, use a peeler and peel the veggies.
