Another one of my curiosity questions. I ask certain things to vegans just to understand. Not to offend.
I don't do things that way, especially on subjects I do not understand enough about. Unfortunately I'm sure I'll still get some rude comments from the immature.

I'm not doubting truth in that certain styles of the killing processes of animals are cruel because without a doubt, some are. I dislike that, and to the best of my abilities I avoid it. (and I'm sure that vegans avoid it all together because you can never be sure)

I am what you can call "in the agriculture business". I raise animals (cattle and goats) that are bred for their meat quality. They will be showed in multiple livestock shows and then sold to slaughter.
I've seen or have heard of the slaughter process of multiple places, and their ways seem very quick and unharmful.

But how many of you have actually seem inhumane slaughter processes and what percentage of places do you think this happens?

I am mainly doing it for animal rights, like, why should we have the right to take a life, even if it is an animal's, if it's wrong to murder a person, then it should also be wrong to brutally slaughter an animal, just to satisfy our appetite. PLEASE HELP
it would be gr8 if you could give me websites and food recipies to help me ( I am a really choosy eater)

I have a feeling Ingrid Newkirk likes the potential in this young man. I mean, she does validate the killing of thousands of dogs PETA masacres every year. And Vick could help her with financing her "non-profit" scam....... I mean foundation.

Right now I do eat meat, but Im a huge animal lover and I want to go vegetarian, and someday vegan. I've tried before but I always fail. I know zero recipes for vegetarian/vegan food, and it seems like every time I try, I gain weight (I know its weird but I cant eat alot of carbs, I pack on the pounds when I do). I know I should think of the poor animals, and I do, but in the environment im in, its really hard to NOT eat anything with meat in it. Also, I was vegetarian for about 2 years and I gained a lot of weight, and lost a lot of hair. Did anyone else have this problem?

So how can I go from eating meat, to being a vegetarian, but remain healthy (and not bald)? What are some things I can do.....and also, where can I find great recipes for vegetarians /vegans?

Does anyone know of any vegan- friendly shampoo that I can buy at regular supermarkets? And does anyone know if Garnier Fructis is okay to use? They said that they don't test on animals or use animal ingredients, but I just found out that I have to ask other questions.
Sources please

Basically, PETA convinced me to go vegetarian because of all their info on the meat industry. I don't believe in everything that they do so I'm not a member or anything. But I know some people totally support PETA out there and some hate them. So what do you think of them? And please, no stupid answers and don't you dare tell me to go back to eating meat. Once a vegetarian, always one. But I would greatly appreciate detailed answers on your opinion of PETA!!! Thanks!

I'm having a "debate" if you will, with a few people so I'd like to get your opinion.

When you see a commercial/billboard/ advertisement with meat on it (raw or cooked), talking about how juicy and delicious it is, do you get offended? or feel slightly sickened?

Also, when a place that sells mostly chicken, uses a chicken as their mascot, or a place that sells mostly pork or beef, uses a happy, smiling pig, or cow, does that offend you?

I dont eat meat, and I find pictures of meat kind of gross, and it irritates me when people use a cartoon image of whatever kind of meat they specialize in, alive and happy. (Im sorry but if I did eat meat, I wouldnt want to see a happy pig right before Im about to sit down and eat pork, that'd gross me out).

Am I just being overly sensitive about it? How do you feel about those issues?

Here is my argument--Refute it, Im not trying to insult anyone:

Meat tastes good, good protein, and it is extremely natural. --I mean its better than drinking milk. That is so unnatural: Think about it--Drinking another species milk that is made for their offspring and we only drink their milk because they produce alot of it and its there. It would make more sense to drink dog milk, breast milk, or monkey milk because atleast they are more related to us.

I've been a vegetarian for two months, and I've had no problems. However, members of my family, friends, as well as articles I've read, claim that I should be careful with my vegetarian diet. Should I be taking certain vitamins? I've heard both good and bad things about soy, so what is the general consensus; should I be eating it? I'm fairly new at this lifestyle, so any help would be much appreciated.

I have found many questions and answers in this forum accusing non-vegetarians of committing sins by eating dead animals and making their bodies impure and graveyards by consuming meat, etc etc...

My question is "Don't Plants have life?" Its been scientifically proven tht plants do have life. They experience growth as well as pain, just as animals do.The only difference is tht they don't bleed or cry out loud while dying. They just die a silent death. But tht doesn't mean they don't experience pain while they are being uprooted(for acquiring veg like potatoes,carrots..)while fruits and vegetables are hacked off them, etc. They are not lifeless.

So,aren't you too doing the same thing as non-vegetarians by consuming plants and vegetables? You are eating dead bodies too.Your body too is bcuming a vegetarian graveyard. So,no vegetarian in my opinion, has a right to accuse a non-vegetarian for his/her eating habits.
What arguements wud you like to put forward for this query of mine??

Can you identify, by taste, if french fries have been cooked in beef lard or drippings, and if so how? What's the difference in taste between that and if they are cooked in vegetable oil?
