I admire them for their dedication to what they believe in, but as in all organizations... at some point, somebody goes a bit gung ho and then the whole thing goes down the tubes.
A couple of nuts, and all of a sudden everyone thinks all V&V are wackjobs.
They HAD good intentions, but I think they have gone about it in the wrong way. You can not force people to change... beating them over the head with it will make them resist more.
Ashley, if you know about her, is definitely the posterchild for trying to change people just by screeching at them.
Once, at college, I had to rip my backpack away from an insane PETA member who was holding onto it, trying to make me listen about how meat was murder.
Good intentions, that have gone well beyond over-the-top and I personally think they are scaring away more people than they are converting.

They give vegetarians and vegans around the world a very bad image, and for this i dislike them very much.
i think that they are arrogant assholes and i hope i never have any dealings with them.
most vegetarians and vegans are actually doing good things in day to day life, thats where it matters, not stupid fanatical organizations like this.
volunteering at animal shelters or planting trees is a much better use of time than supporting PETA.

I stopped caring about PETA when the president or whatever that person is called said that she wished Mad cows disease
would infect people (so we would understand it from the animals viewpoint). This was a few years ago and I stopped making contributions because of that remark. As for liking animals, I have two cats.
so basically Peta can kiss my ***

I think PETA is a great organization. They are helping animals and people too.
People at all levels of compassion can find something helpful by viewing the PETA website.
I think the people who go into the factory farms and the cruel laboratories and take videos to show the world what's really happening are some of the bravest people in the world.
and I think it's great that they sue companies like KFC to make them stop buying chicken from extreme cruelty slaughterhouses.

I am a member of PETA because I am a big advocate of animal welfare and I appreciate what they are trying to do. Having said that, I am also a person who believes that everyone has a right to their opinions, so I do not try to convince others to choose the vegan path that I have taken. Of course, I wish that they would, but I try to inspire through example, not preaching. To that end, I do contribute financially to PETA, but I do not participate in their events, etc. I do not think badly of those who are more active; it is just not my way.

First, as to you becoming a vegetarian, this country was built of freedom of choice, therefore, you may choose to be a non-meat eater. As to PETA, they have made their respective choices, which is fine. However they have no right to inflict their choices upon me, which is what they try to do. It has been recorded many times of their attacks on other citizens, for making choices which they do not like. For this reason, among many others, I would not support them

peta is a bit extreme in my opinion. the south park spoof i admit was REALLY extreme, but i still think pete doesnt need to do quite as much as they do do. its good and all, but i mean, they take in more animals than they can adopt and end up killing some. mayb if they toned the hwole thing down a notch.

I support them. There have been a lot of mythical stories going around about PETA euthanizing animals in their facilities that have a chance at life but in reality PETA doesn't have a housing facility but rather provides financial assistance to animal shelters that help animals. I also like the fact that they educate people so they can make and educated decision.

My grandfather had a saying he liked “The more @#*$ you throw against the wall, the more of it will stick.” I feel that’s PETA’s philosophy as well.
They aim for the top, over the top even. Even if they only accomplish 5% of their goals, they’ve still accomplished more than the person sitting ion their sofa thinking “somebody should save those poor animals.”
I do support PETA, even though their ideals can seem a bit ludicrous at times.

They had a campaign to convince people to stop drinking milk because they said it made you fat.
PETA is entitled to their own opinion, but not their own facts.
