In OHIO. I am not cracking on vegetarians. I am trying to say that this is a bad business decision on her part. I live in Ohio. Yes, we have the vegetarians, but its not wide. If your fan of Chrissie, please let her know that. I am fan of Ohio, and I know that its not going to be successful. I know Ohio. She has a great idea, I would not put in Ohio tho. Ohio, is farmers. She should of done more research. Bad idea for Chrissie to do in Ohio? Your thoughts??

At my school, I'm literally the only person in the whole school who's vegetarian. My friends usually critisize my diet too, but I don't really mind anymore. It would just be nice to know others who have the same beliefs as me. So how many of you have vegan/vegetarian friends and how did you meet them?

Oh, and before I receive comments about how I shouldn't make it a point to tell others I'm vegan. Well, I don't. It's just it's kind of hard for people not to notice when you suddenly want to stop eating pizza or having popcorn at the movies.

It is one thing when the research does not benefit human society; such as the testing of cosmetics on animals. What about when it can save human lives? Heart transplant would not be around if not tested on the dogs first. Various medicines would not be around such as insulin and penicillin. I don't understand why some would be against it even when human lives are saved by it. I will glady see the death of 10 dogs if it can save one human life.

Are animal rights activists against ALL animal research?

I have been a vegetarian since I was very young. I thrive on dairy and cheese though. Since summer began I have been eating more vegetables and fresh fruit, just trying to be healthy. I Love the taste of soy products, and so I have thought about becoming vegan. I know that it wont be easy and It will take some time for it to actually become a lifestyle, but I was just hoping for any advice. What are good protein alternatives, ways to feel full, alternatives to eggs, etc... Thanks!

I have just been approached by a good friend of mine who farms sheep for wool, he has around 350 - 400 at any one time. he was recently accosted, quite violently, by two persons stating they were vegans, and that sheep should not be used in this way.

As the wool is clipped during the hot weather to prevent the animal from dying from heatstroke, why can't the waste material be used?

Or shall we let them die?

I am invited to a friend's house this weekend for dinner and they don't know I am a vegetarian. How do I politely let them know that I don't eat meat when some sort of meat dish is going to be served?

First here is my example - a few years ago I was outside of the humane society building in Dallas and a dog ran out into the street. There was this one car that SPED UP and purposely ran over and killed that dog and it was entirely preventable. It is hard for me to imagine that God is not going to hold this person accountable for what they did.

sometimes I wonder why people make such a big deal about animal rights, because I really do think that God holds people accountable for how they use/misuse animals, the environment, each other, etc. I honestly don't know that we have to say anything. I don't think people know that they are held accountable for these things but they are. Am I wrong? if so why do you think I'm wrong.

It might be ok to say something about this.

I follow a strict vegetarian diet - no meat - no dairy.

I'm trying to learn more about all this - please don't take offense to my question. - it isn't meant as an insult or anything like that.

Florida was all burgers and the South seemed all buffalo and steak. I want some nice healthy greens and a 'no yukky mayo' salad. Help - I don't wanna starve!
