The real question, is why do you have fingers and hands?...
I mean, seriously... it would be a lot better for us if you couldn't type dumb questions like this.

For starters, the eyes, nose, ears and mouth are all major senses in mammalians, Their close proximity to the brain allows for convenience and protection. It is also so that mammals can see what they are trying to eat.... smell the same and taste as well. Hearing to allow for the directional location of things in the enviornment without requiring the total repositioning of the body to focus the other senses such as sight to what you are hearing in a quicker time, resulting in the ability to respond to stimuli in a timely fashon and help keep animals alive. Notice how four of the five senses you have as a mammal are located in the head.... it's just logical evolution.
