Do humans really need meat for a healthy diet? Or can a vegan diet really supply all the nutrients needed to feel great and be healthy? In your opinion, is the idea that you need meat to survive a myth propagated by the meat industry?

what is your reason for being a vegan?? I always KNEW that the killing of animals for humans to consume must be a terrible sight and inhumane for the animal, however I ignored what I knew in the back of my mind.

I saw a film on animal slaughter and it made me throw up.

I would like to know what made you a vegan? How hard was it or how DIFFERENT was it at first.

Read in the paper earlier this week that the company that manufactures, Mars products including Galaxy, Minstrels, and Milky Way etc instead of using a vegetarian setting agent have started to use rennet made from the stomach of calves which is cheaper, anything with a "best before date after 1st oct 2007 will no longer be suitable for vegetarians, if you have already bought some you can send it back for a refund. I am not a vegetarian but my teenage daughter is and we both love Galaxy, don't see how i can continue to eat them in front of her, it is wrong, just for profit we should all boycott their products now.

I am attending a party with a bunch of meat-eaters. I want to bring a vegetarian appetizer-type dish that the other party goers will not be afraid of trying. It also has to be easily portable and outdoor-friendly. Unfortunately, none of my recipes fit all of these qualifications. Any suggestions?

That is a very interesting study, but in also in a recent study, one very interesting conclusion was found concerning 600 case studies(now remember, the FDA approves drugs on a regular basis with case studies as low as 30-50) of people 600 people who lived to be 100 years old or greater...are you ready?

Not a single vegetarian among them, not 1.

There may be something to eating a balanced diet(regardless of ones personal beliefs, just a certain people refuse to let their children have a blood transfusion, while watching their child die) since in reality, the human being is a predator(like ALL predators have eyes located at the front of the temporal lobes), and the canine teeth which we all posses are designed specifically to rip flesh.

I was a "veggie" for six months as an experiment while in college, and frankly, my options as far as food was fairly bland. Food and sex SHOULD be enjoyable as well as healthy(in moderation).

When someone puts up a question to annoy all of us, please ignore it. They will feel embarrassed that way, attention is what they want.
So will you?

As an incredibly sensitive animal lover, I have always felt guilty about consuming animal meat. On Sunday, my little Italian Greyhound was horrifically masacred by a car. After seeing his little body split in half, my daughter and I absolutely cannot bring ourselves to eat meat whatsoever. If you can provide some suggestions as to how we can make the conversion over to eating meat free, I would so appreciate your words.
