am cutting out processed food, cow-dairy, salt, sugar, wheat, preservatives, etc.

Im loading up on fish, fresh fruits and veggies, raw unsalted nuts and grains, water, fiber, garlic, cayanne, lemon, etc.

I have been taking birth control pills and multivitimins daily for nearly 10 years. Im not having sex right now, so should I discontinue my use?

What about smoking pot? Does this effect my bodys ability to cleanse itself?

I am taking a full body cleanse kit (fiber, lax, and milk thistle).

I've noticed some people write it as vegan and some as veg*n... is there a difference or any reason why it's sometimes spelled differently?

Anyone have vegetarian parents and resented them for the way you were raised?
I mean did you feel you missed out on turkey dinners or burgers like your friends were having(?)
Or, are you grateful they gave you a foundation for eating healthy?
Just curious if there is anyone with vegetarian parents and what their offspring have to say about it.
Have you experienced better health than your omnivore friends?
Talk to me.... sincere, honest replies only please.
Thank you to those of you taking the time to answer.

I never really liked meat, chicken or anything related to them but i would still eat it. two months ago I decided to leave meat behind..I hate it, it's gross, bloody and ewww anyway with my new decision I also stopped eating eggs (i never really liked them) and fish or shrimp are over for me, milk..ewww(don't want to breastfeed from a cow) and any animal byproducts... the thing is that I FEEL LIKE IF I HAVEN'T HAD A DECENT MEAL IN 2 MONTHS!!! why? I eat healthy salads, drink soymilk, buy boca burgers, any food that is not related to animals I eat. But I am hungry all the time..I feel like if I need "somthing" but I can't explain why...I feel hungry like a starving kind of feeling and I haven't lost any weight! can anyone tell me why is this? thankssss

smells a little off but I don't recall what tofu smells like.
I am snowed in for two days now and it will be a while before I can get more food.

If I eat it will it make me ill?

If you define "vegan" as a person who eats absolutely no animal products, and uses absolutely no animal products (does not wear leather, does not use topical preparations made from animal ingredients, etc) -- is there a way to differentiate between that and a person who merely has a vegan diet?

I don't understand why. It's starting to annoy me because most non vegetarian/vegans insult people for no reason and leave idiotic statements, in this section.

So why are they(you) here?

I don't know, so maybe someone else may.

I'm just wondering if an overweight person went vegetarian
and ate NO junk food and ate the right portions, would it be pretty much impossible for them to not lose weight(unless they had a health problem)?

I am almost vegan (I eat free range organic eggs) and I do not want to use animal products, but it is very hard to find fashionable shoes that are not made from leather, so I wanted to know if leather is made from the hides and skins of dead cows used for food, or are cows killed just to make leather?

Some people don't eat meat and so they are vegetarians.

Is there a word for the opposite? I hate salads and anything that goes into a salad, along with many other vegetables. Is there a word for this? lol

Also soy milk powder. I've checked the local supermarkets and posh food shops. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong aisles, or maybe I need a specialty (health-food) shop. Please advise. Thanks...

What if you'd be trapped in a time where either you eat what you can of you starve. what would you do......Cause there sure wasn't any vegan in the medieval time. Well, they sure didn't stay alive long enough.

Thanks! Also, I heard from meat - eaters that seitan steak is really good?

Whenever another vegetarian or Vegan says anything the lest bit controversial such as meat eating is immoral, how can you stand to eat meat, or god forbid, I support the ALF, Some Vegetarian apologist is ready and waiting to right that person off for stating their beliefs.
Are some of you that insecure in the direction of our movement, if you can even call it a movement, that you feel the need to cater to the sensibilities of the masses and not offend anyone? I mean no one any disrespect, meat eater or vegetarian, but to discuss this issue means that some meat eaters and vegetarians might get their feathers ruffled a bit. Disagreements in ideology or tactics are fine, hell even desired. However, to have some Vegetarian apologist undermining others is frankly really annoying. Thoughts?
