What are common products made/processed with animal parts that the avergae person may not realize? For example, I've heard that animal fat is used in the manufacture of computer chips. Is that true? Anything else like that?

That is the only thing I miss by being a vegan. Do any other vegan converts miss it too?

I'm 18 and thus I still live with my father at home. Although he doesn't eat red meat, he still finds making dinners for a week to be easier if we include some chicken and seafood, which is making it really hard for me to go completely vegetarian. Has anyone been in this situation and have any advice?

I like cooking Thai food at home.

But why is it whenever I go to a Thai restaurant I get landed with a bowl of sticky rice and some hurriedly steamed limp veggies? It seems like half of them don't even know what 'vegetarian' means. The other half give me the 'look'.

What's up with that?

PS: sorry if I offended anyone, but these are just my experiences

Here's my question. I think I want to become a vegitarian, for health reasons, and I don't know if a vegitarian diet includes cheese and milk. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you in advance!!

When I first became a vegetarian, I was all into cooking for myself and everything...But now I'm getting lazy. There are times where I wont eat even when I'm hungry because I have nothing instant to make, and I don't feel like cooking. All of the vegetables I eat are instant enough, but for substitute protein I actually have to cook. I can tell the smaller amount of protein I'm getting is also contributing to my already lazy nature...

Is there anything I can do to either motivate myself to cook, or else anything instant available that gives me a good source of protein but is still vegetarian?

Don't suggest to start eating meat again. It isn't an option, simply because I don't like meat. The taste revolts me. Besides, you still have to prepare meat. Any instant meat would be bad for me, like beef jerky. Yuck.

I trying not to eat meat anymore because I think that eating meat meat is murder. I think that any vegetarian would agree with me there! But sometimes just sometimes I end up eating chicken. Can someone tell me how to avoid eating meat?

P.S. I would rather have a vegetarian person answer this question! It will make it easier for me. No hard feelings!

Honestly, I can't think of anything tastier than a thick juicy steak, terryaki chicken or a macadamia nut crusted halibut.

There is a phrase "Just because I want a burger, doesn't mean I want to meet the cow". That is how I think and I feel like a hypocrite. Just thinking of the suffering animals endure to get from birth to my plate makes me sick.

Is there a way to stop liking meat so much?

I ask this because they specifically market them as
a women's product. Does anyone know why?
I've been using them from time to time as power
bars. Should I stop?

I'm cooking for a guy for the first time this weekend :) We're both vegetarian (and I'm also trying to slowly eliminate dairy - my plan is to go vegan by my birthday later this year). Sadly, I'm not that good at cooking - any ideas???

This is probably a stupid question, but I just wanna make sure. I'm in the mood for a 'burger' and fries tonight for dinner and I have this Boca Burger patty that's been sitting in my freezer for what seems like years now. Ok, maybe not years, but I know it's been sitting in there for several months. The box says, "Best When Used By March 21, 2007" So that means it's still safe to eat right? Just wanna make sure, I'm pregnant and don't wanna risk eating anything potentially dangerous. (I wish I could go for the real thing but I've had problems digesting red meat since having my gallbladder removed a few years ago, so that's why I'm opting for the Boca burger.) Thanks.

I have been vegetarian for several months now. I don't think I know how to eat a balanced vegetarian meal cause I never feel full of energy or healthy. Also, my weight has dropped, maybe only 5 ibs, but i am already tiny, and would rather gain healthy muscle mass. Does anyone have any recipes or ideas to having a healthy and balanced vegetarian diet?
