One of the best tasting and most nutrient rich foods is Romaine Lettuce. It is comparable to spinich, tastes better IMO, is even a little better in some vitamins/minerals, and only a little less in others. It also has great calcium. I consider it my secret weapon :).

If your vegitarian then make good use of eggs, rice, and pasta, they are awesome for nutrients and protien and are CHEAP. Get a little rice cooker too if you don't have one :)

As you start eating veggie sources of all your nutrients, eventually your body should just crave the right veggie foods that it needs to get the nutrients it wants; it may only know meat sources now, and thus craves them.

Theres also a transition phase where you may feel weak from detoxing and adapting, but give it time. I've been Veggie for 5 years, raw food only for 2 months, and I'm feeling better, stronger, and healthier than I ever have before. GOOD LUCK!

Your vitamins generally come mostly from vegetables and fruits. Dark green leafy vegetables have high amounts of vitamins A and K and also have iron. Fortified soy milk have lots of good vitamins and minerals such as calcium, vitamin D, and even B12, which can be a problem for vegans.

On the contrary, omega 3 fatty acids occur naturally in walnuts and flax seeds.

Oh geez.

Meat has protein and iron, not vitamins. You get the majority of your vitamins and nutrients from fruits and vegetables.

You can get protein from beans and iron from spinach.

The only natural source of omega 3 acids is fish.

So why are you taking vitamins again?????

Whoever said fish is the only natural source of omega-3's... that's not true. Flax seeds (and flax oil) has them, walnuts have them, and seaweed has the same mixture of them that fish does.
