This is probably a stupid question, but I just wanna make sure. I'm in the mood for a 'burger' and fries tonight for dinner and I have this Boca Burger patty that's been sitting in my freezer for what seems like years now. Ok, maybe not years, but I know it's been sitting in there for several months. The box says, "Best When Used By March 21, 2007" So that means it's still safe to eat right? Just wanna make sure, I'm pregnant and don't wanna risk eating anything potentially dangerous. (I wish I could go for the real thing but I've had problems digesting red meat since having my gallbladder removed a few years ago, so that's why I'm opting for the Boca burger.) Thanks.

LOL. I have this problem quite often. (I just forget they're up there).
As long as you eat it before the date on the box, you should be okay. I have consumed a Boca Burger before with a little layer of freezer burn on it and I'm still alive. :-) I think you should be okay!

inquire from me at lunch when I open the freezer to place something on my George Foreman Grill. recently, i've got been procuring Morningstar Farms and Gardenburger using fact i've got been getting them for extra cost-effective than Boca with some $.seventy 5 coupons i are transforming into that double at one food market I keep. not all the Morningstar Farms and Gardenburgers are vegan, yet I actual have some gray factors and that i don't consume them daily. (the cost is stable after the coupon, yet they're nonetheless expensive.) Boca does flavor extra like meat, yet I do like the vegan grillers. i can actual flavor the cheese interior the All-American burgers, which i don't purchase. (My husband by risk offered some for me using fact he wasn't paying interest, so I ate them. additionally, my SIL who's vegan, likes to aim new issues as quickly as and springs to a decision she would not like them, passes her rejects directly to me. actual, her dad does using fact she'll purely enable them to sit down down interior the kitchen.) Like with any nutrition from diverse manufacturers and types/types, you will could purchase some, confirm what you like, and bypass from there.

I don't see why it would be bad for you if it was frozen properly all this time. And it hasn't expired either. I can't speak from a pregnancy point of view, but even a little freezer burn is just frost.

It should still be safe, but it may taste a bit freezer-burned - you may want to season it up a bit more to overcome that taste.

It would still be safe to eat after that date. It says 'best when used by...........' That means that after that date it may lose some of it's freshness but it should still be safe.

It is still good. They don't have any alkaloids preservatives or dairy products made with them, that would spoil or start to make them smell bad.
