Enjoy your vegan life.
Organic veggies are good. They allege that they don't use chemicals, yet all veggies are grown in the same dirt. I doubt their dirt and water is any cleaner than the dirt nonorganic fruits and veggies are grown in. Especially with the water cycle of evaporation, and rain fall. Chemicals and fertilizers can run off during storms, fall into creeks and bodies of water, gets evaporated into the air and falls back down to earth to water all crops.
So I don't get all the organic hype, really.
This being said,
I choose to be omnivorous.

I recommend reading "The Organic Food Guide". The chemicals and fertilizers that are used on non-organic vegetables are proven to cause cancer and many other disorders. That is a good enough reason for me since my mother has had cancer twice. That book also lists what foods are more likely to have higher levels of chemicals on them so if you dont go organic then you can least try to avoid those.

You can search my Answers history to get details of my opinion on 'organic' in the US and elsewhere. Claims that 'organic' produce is pesticide free are largely FALSE! ALL the major growers of 'organic' foods make heavy use of the EPA 'organic' approved list of pesticides!
The simple fact is that 'organic' has been so far twisted from it's original meaning that the term is USELESS!
Look to the links below for real data that would be useful to you.

Chemical pesticides cause cancer, impotence, hair loss, bone loss, did I mention impotence?
There are 64 nutrients in good top soil. We replace only 16 with artificial fertilizers. In the late 1950s spinach had 75 milligrams of iron per cup. Due to over harvesting of the land, by the late 1980s it was down to 12 milligrams per cup. Imagine how low it is now.
Sunkist organges have been tested for vitamin C content. Due to over harvesting they contain NONE. The vitamin c in your OJ is added later.
Taste the difference. Go to Safeway. Buy a Sunkist orange. Then go to Whole Foods and buy a locally grown organic orange.
WOWIE!
