am cutting out processed food, cow-dairy, salt, sugar, wheat, preservatives, etc.

Im loading up on fish, fresh fruits and veggies, raw unsalted nuts and grains, water, fiber, garlic, cayanne, lemon, etc.

I have been taking birth control pills and multivitimins daily for nearly 10 years. Im not having sex right now, so should I discontinue my use?

What about smoking pot? Does this effect my bodys ability to cleanse itself?

I am taking a full body cleanse kit (fiber, lax, and milk thistle).

Good for you for cutting out processed foods! They will kill you over time. Yes, please be careful with the fish. If I were you I would only eat it about 3-4 times per week. When you do eat it, make sure it's wild and not farm-raised. I cannot really say one way or the other about the birth control. I do know that the pills keep your body from doing what it's naturally supposed to do...so....if you're looking to purify......I'd talk to my doctor about that one.
I'm a vegetarian and I used to smoke like a train - daily and lots of it. I kicked the habit and my body feels SO good. Though herb is 'natural' (per se) it does put a lot of toxins in your body, so I'd give that up too. If this is your first cleanse, you want to take baby steps. You don't want to shock your body. Try the cleanse/fast for one day first (close to home and over the weekend) to see how you do. Then work your way up to longer detoxes. Good luck!

As far as healthy eating goes, be careful not to eat too much fish that has lots of mercury and other toxins - better now days to use a cleaned fish oil for the omega 3. Stick to small fish such as sardines to minimize your exposure. I just finished a liver detox during which I only had fresh squeezed juices for 5 days. Smoking pot would be adding toxins to your body while obsetensibly trying to remove them. Doesn't make much sense. Give your body a rest from the vitamins while doing the detox. The birth control pills seems to me to be in a completely different category - I am not expert on this, but I believe they recommend you go off birth control pills for at least a certain length of time every so often. Do a search on the net and discuss it with your doctor.

If you're trying to detox your body why would you use drugs? I would take the birth control, skip the vitamins for a few days and stay far away from the pot.
