I have a few friends that are vegitarians and I respect them, but I am not allowed to become a vegitarian because my parents say no. One of my friends is always repremanding me for not being a vegitarian. I think it is great that she is a vegitarian, but I am not, so she doesn't have to push her personal beliefs on me right? Do you agree?

Ok, so I recently decided that I'm going vegitarian, and I'm anxious to see what my friends think. One of my friends already tried it and my other friends just scoffed and made fun of her. I think she only went veg just to see what people would say though, I don't really think she cared about the animals. What my question is, is how do you telly your friends that you're going veg?

When people say "I'm a HALF vegetarian" because they don't eat red meat? Personally I think to be in the first stage of vegetarianism you shouldn't eat any type of meat at all. What are your opinions on this?

I know this sounds gross but I was wondering if semen is used in any different cultures to add nutritional value to food, maybe in a starving nation? I know there is calories and I know that it is protein so I thought that if you were stranded on a deserted island for example you could eat semen to help stay alive. Or do cultures use animal semen in recipes? I know that some cultures eat human afterbirth, fetuses, and weird animal parts included the testicles..so just curious if they use semen as well.

After years of being vegetarian, I'm now considering going vegan. What worries me a bit though is the fact that most food packages here in the UK tell you only whether a product is suitable for vegetarians. How do you know whether it's OK for vegans too? Are there any words on the ingeredients list, apart from the obvious, that mean dairy or egg?

If this is true then why does God in some Eastern religions (Jainism, Hinduism, some Buddhist sects) discourage or even forbid meat consumption? So why bring God into the argument at all? It's obvious every God has a different opinion;) *eyeroll*

Yes, I love cows too, and have lots of things in my apartment with a cow pattern! :)

And no, I'm not South Asian. In fact, I was born in Argentina (and lived in many other countries; in fact, I live in Canada now) and my ancestry is a mix of Native American, Spaniard, German, Lebanese, Chinese (from Hong Kong) and African (Black).

I've been to Karen's raw food place, which is trippy for sure.
And I've been to Ear Wax, which has a lot of good v. options.
Where else?
