I am a meat eater and have no problems with this, but this vegan person I know keeps trying to make me go vegan, even though I have explained to them that I accept their choice, but it is not mine.

We are going to be trying to eat less meat, but I'm looking for meal ideas that kids will enjoy. Can you suggest anything? (.....preferably not using meat analogs that you buy at the grocery.)

After reading the LA times on Sunday, there was one study of people who lives over to be or are over the age of 100 years.

Out of 400 people in the study, they were studied for life-styles, etc. Not a single vegetarian among the 400...not 1. Being one for roughly six months(and then I snapped watching someone eat a In-n-Out hamburger), I always felt a bit weak.

It may be a moral choice/issue not to eat meat/fish/poultry, but it appears in moderate amounts to be benefical long-term. The study would suggest we are designed by nature to eat meat as well as veggies.

What does PETA stand for?

I was told that it stands for some BS about treatment of animals. I always thought it stood for People Eating Tasty Animals.

I notice this in woodstock ny all the time. granted some of their lifestyles may be healthier (if done PROPERLY)
but have seen too many that look severely underweight, malnutritioned, w/hollow gaunt like faces. They look very unhappy.
was thinking of becoming a vegan but don't want to spoil my life

How do you raise a vegetarian boy if soy is so supposidly bad for you? When I have kids I want to raise them as vegetarians, but I'm nervous about giving my son soy. Also, what if the little boy is lactose intolerant? If soy milk is bad for him what does he drink?

I used to be a big bean eater and never had any 'problems' if you know what I mean. Then I became a busy, lazy bum and ate unhealthy for several months. Now I eat loads of beans again but I think I can fuel a power plant with all that methane. Is this temporary??? Why does it happen?
