I bring a peanut butter sandwich and vegetables to school--it's fast and simple, plus you can make your own bread and omit ingredients you don't want, like eggs. I also use all-natural peanut butter.

Being a vegetarian does require a bit more thought and planning than eating the crappy school lunch. But it is do-able. The easiest way is to prepare extra dinner the night before and just take leftovers in a reusable plastic container.
I make tofu salad and it makes a great sandwich and will keep for 3-4 days. Also if you quickly fry up some tofu slices in a tiny bit of oil or a non-stick pan with a few drops of soy-sauce or sprinkled with Spike and nutritional yeast--mmm-- tastes like chicken! It makes a great sandwich with some vegenaise. Put tomato slices and sprouts in a zip-lock and add when you're ready to eat.
An avocado, sliced in half, with some Spike and a Ziploc of salad is great--- bring a few corn chips and you have a feast!
You can also cook up a veggie burger in five minutes--- put it together with whatever you like in a wholewheat bun and wrap that up for later.
And then there's good old peanut butter... with bananas...with apples...with celery... with baco-bits in a sandwich...be inventive!
Health food stores have lots of soup or noodle/tofu cups and other microwave entrees that are good in a pinch--- keep a supply in your cupboard.
Most schools now have salads and some other veg choices--- altho often french fries and cheese pizza or an anemic burrito with white lettuce seems to be their favorite choice.
My all-time favorite, though, is last night's dinner!

Well you dont have to bring something that is strictly soy based. You could bring sliced veggies, soy milk, nuts, or fruit. You could also buy a peice of cheese pizza if you are a lacto veg (aka a dairy eating veg). Or you could buy a bagel. If your school has a microwave then you can bring leftovers or even a soy burger.

Buy one of those soy tv dinners. They are very convenient and easy to heat up for a quick meal.

You can also get veggie "deli meats." Tofurkey makes really good smoked turkey slices that you can use to make a great deli sandwich. Also I'll take dinner left overs and microwave them. That makes for very quick prep in the morning.
