We try to eat very healthy, with little sugar, and lots of whole grains, and a variety of veggies. But recently my brother came to stay with us, who is used to a diet with lots of meat and bread and sugary drinks. It is getting difficult to make a meal for everyone because my brother has such different tastes as we do.

My son (2 years old) is a natural vegitarian, the only meats he eats are chicken, fish and seafood. He also loves dariy and soy poducts. He also doesn't eat many refined bread products. But will eat oatmeal, cornmeal, rice and pastas.
But my brother (6 years old) who stays here won't eat fish or seafood, or eggs and loves meat, and it is very hard to get him to eat any veggies except carrots. And wont eat any bread product unless it is white bread, or super sugary

The only thing these two seem to agree on is chicken and pasta!

Im looking to add some more varity to the foods that we eat. What are some balanced recipies that will appeal to the whole family?

I recently became a vegetarian and soon after i began noticing significant changes. My skin changed from olive to porcelin, my brown eyes are gaining a greenish-yellow tint and my hair and nails are strong and shiny. I watch what i eat carefully, so I know that I am getting the appropriate amounts of protien and calcium, as well as take vitamins prescribed by the doctor. I am getting enough nutrients and have never felt better, but i am worried why my eyes and skin tone have changed. Does anyone know why?

I have known a couple vegetarian. They alway seems to want to preach about how healthy they are and how great it is to be vegetarian. At first I doesn't really care, however lately it is becoming more obivious there's something really wrong with those people 90% of the time.

One of lady who I use to have as a neighbor, she was in mid 40's and her skin look odd, almost wrinkly and very pale. She is incredible nice when she is fine but most of time she alway have head aches, abominal ache, and she has gallstone twice.

Other girl I know also look really pale, get cold very easily even at 75 degree, lose a lot of hair (it's literally all over her clothes and back pack) and trembles a lot.

What really piss me off is yesterday when I was training for boxing match, there's this one guy who is a vegetarian who love to preach about his diet and put down everyone. His performance seems to be getting worse and worse everyday, he always have head aches or abdominal aches, his bruises seems to

Hello, I was thinking of becomming vegetarian, but before I make my decision I wanted to try things like Tofu, etc..
I bought tofu that had sauce on it and mixed it with rice... so it didnt taste bland. The tofu was OK... it wasnt good or bad, but I couldnt see myself eating it for the rest of my life. The tofu made my stomach a bit queasy...is this normal if your not used to eating tofu?

I am concerned about cult influence that my kids may be exposed to at public schools. I have heard horror stories about other vegans convincing kids to throw away their meat out of their lunch boxes. I work very hard to make sure my kids have lunch boxes that include good wholesome meats. I don't want my kids to get sick from not eating meat.

Hi!

I'm getting married in November and the place that we have chosen to have our ceremony and reception specifies that they have to provide the food. They have a strictly Vegetarian selection and will serve no meat. However, they are willing to fix any vegetarian selections that I would like.

I would be fine with this as I love vegetarian dishes. However, none of the attendees will be vegetarians and there will be a few people who are die-hard meat and potato lovers (specifically, my husband-to-be).

I'm wondering if anyone can suggest a couple of vegetarian dishes that even those die-hard people would love. Something so darn yummy it will make them forget they are eating vegetarian :)

Any suggestions?

I have tried a number of vegatable broths on the market and I use Swanson's an Knorr's. But these products are expensive. Has anyone tried making it themselves? How did it turn out? Was it more or less expensive? How long did you have to cook it?

There are a group of vegans that meet at this house in my neighborhood. I have been writing down their license plate numbers and stuff. One of the vehicles had a bumper sticker that was slandering KFC.

I am concerned because KFC is building a new restaurant in our area (we definitely need one because I get tired of driving 15 minutes to the nearest KFC). Last year some vegans vandalized a construction site where they were building a KFC. I am afraid they might try to vandalize this one also. Should I call the police?

My friends and I decided to get together every now and then to have fancy smashy dinner parties so we can pretend we're all rich and famous and whatnot. Because I'm usually somewhat restricted at these parties, they want me to throw a strictly vegan dinner party for them, so they can try some things that I can eat and really enjoy, and to be introduced into some new food options. I have a lot of recipes, but does anyone have suggestions or plans for an appitizer, full meal deal, dessert, and drinks that are vegan and compliment each other nicely. I'm pretty good as far as cooking goes, just not so much in knowing what food assortments go the best together. Thanks!
