Some Wendy's have one fryer just for fries and onion rings... so you'd have to ask to make sure.
Here's a link that can help when you're wondering about the vegan/vegetarian options in popular restaurant's menus.

I haven't been to Wendy's in years, so I don't know about their onion rings. I'm guessing that most fast food places and even places like Denny's would use the same oil. If the restaurant serves deep-fried chicken or fish, I think you can count on the onions or potatoes being fried in that same oil.

Yeah I believe it sometimes can be the same oil. I was looking at there nutrition facts on there website and in the "fine print" at the bottom is had a little note saying that the oil used for fries, onion rings, etc. can be the same for chicken in some places.

Both are good for you, each fruit/vegetable has different vitamins. Thus as more variety, as better. Vegetables have generally less sugar than fruits.
