There are many types of tofu out there. You don't have to stick to the same one all the time. Maybe you can try other things and come back to tofu like every other week or so then you get to taste other new food as well.

well, if you are turning to be vegetarian, be prepared that in the first 2-3 weeks your digestion will be faster than ever.. but once your body is used to it, it will be okay again..
anyway, you dont have to eat tofu just because you are a vegetarian.. dont eat anything what you dont like, especially not if it makes you feel queasy.. (otherwise maybe it was the sauce not the tofu, because tofu is something quite neutral)

Well.... Im a vegetarian and I dont like tofu.... Its a misconseption that all vegetarians eat is tofu. Theres a lot of "meatless meat" products that are not so bad... it takes some trial and error to find ones you like ... but its worth it.
If you want to find a goof tofu recipe or a good way to make tofu .... Id look into asian dishes.... so far the only tofu I had that I somewhat liked was a stir fry.

There are many recepies that involve tofu. No one really eats it just straight up, I dont think. You can make meatless burgers, chicken, cheese all types of food with tofu.
I'm a vegetarian and have never tried it, mainly becuase I can not find it in any local grocery store. There are other foods other then tofu you can eat if you do not like it.

As a vegetarian, I'll eat tofu once in awhile, esp in asian dishes, but I usually get my protein from legumes, nuts, and dairy. I'm not a fan of fake meat, except veggie burgers, which aren't pretending to be meat anyway. :o) Check out http://www.vegweb.com
for some great vegetarian meal ideas. Vegtarians can eat very well!

Hmmmmm, it's made from soybeans, so unless you are allergic to them, it just may be the "thought" of what it is your eating that made you queasy. Try buying extra firm tofu, slice it and dip it in straight soy sauce, then roll it in corn meal. Fry in a little olive oil and eat with rice or noodles - delish!

you don't need to eat tofu. i'm vegetarian for 5 years but haven't tried tofu even once. don't like those quorn meat free products either. when i cook i use a lot of mushrooms, chickpeas, beans etc, that replaces meat perfectly!
