Then they aren't eating properly.
I know several veggies and they are all healthy, in fact probably more healthy than myself because they exercise.
Still don't see how they can get by without a nice juicy steak now and then though.

I'd have to say I fall under the 10% of vegetarians that have nothing wrong with them. I'm a healthy 5'9", and a 175 pounds, and I have no medical problems, as far as I can see.
As for the vegetarians you know, they just don't eat right, or aren't natural vegetarians. The trick with being vegetarian is to not think about all the food your "missing" out on. The people you know probably weren't born vegetarian, and have just adopted a vegetarian lifestyle, because they've heard it's healthy. So, it's hard for them to transition from eating meat all their lives, and all of a sudden switching to a different diet. I, myself, was born a vegetarian food, and have always eaten vegetarian food, so I have no ill effects.
About the preaching part, that's also because of what I said earlier, most people just switch to vegetarian because they heard it was "good" for their health, and now they like to show off that they're healthy. I don't go around preaching how everyone should be vegetarian, because I know that there are benefits to eating meat too.
So really, it seems your problem is not vegetarians as a whole, but just the vegetarians around you.
SIDE NOTE: Vegans live, on average, 4 years LESS than others. Vegans, not vegetarians.

About the preaching...well nothing is wrong with me. I do not like doing that to people mostly because what other people eat is none of my business, and I respect each and every ones decisions. I wouldn't want people doing that to me. Meat-eaters tell me about the importance of eating meat and how our bodies were designed to eat meat. When people find out im a vegetarian they gasp and act like it's abnormal. They also ask questions and make comments such as, "what the hell do you eat then?", "why?", what is wrong with you?", "You need meat to live.", "Our bodies need meat.", You are crazy", "It's not going to last". And yes it is sometimes annoying. I know what you are talking about.
Well maybe they are not in taking the proper amounts of vitamins, minerals, and so on. That's why it's good to take supplements. The vegetarians you know must see their doctors and/or nutritionists.
I've been a lacto-ovo vegetarian for 8 months and ever since I've been feeling better than ever. I feel more energetic. I feel healthy not saying that I wasn't when I was meat-eater. Maybe vegetarian diets do not work for everyone.

I dont get your random thing about your neighboor and the girl who is pale. What does that have to do with being a vegetarian.
I myself am one, and sometimes try to push it on my mother and a few friends, but I dont try to or intend to. A big reason why people who are vegetarians are so strongly believers of it is becuase of animal rights.
I dont exactly think it is right to push ones beliefs on someone, no matter what they are, however I think it's wrong that people do not like 1 or 2 vegetarians becuase they feel they try to push it onto them, and then throw all vegetarians together and dont like them becuase of what a few people did.
I dont understand the whole illness factors you are trying to tell us about. Vegetarianism is very healthy, if you do it right, and most of the time, vegetarians are the most healthy eatters.
Your question however is very hipocritical. You are getting mad that people are pushing you to be a vegetarian, however you are trying to tell us, with all the illnesses you are coming up with, that eatting meat is better.
Lastly anyone can have somthing wrong with them. Unless you talked to everyone you know about there personal health, you do not know what is causing anything that seems to be wrong wtih them.

I'm a vegetarian I've been one for 10+ years, but I would never preach my beliefs onto others, because if someone really believes in something, they don't have to preach about it, they can show by example. We have to respect other peoples beliefs and that's the only way we can be a good society. You have to tell your friend that although what he is doing is good for him, its not the best solution for you. Not every vegetarian has a need to preach about not eating meat, its a personal choice.
p.s: sometimes vegetarians get picked on for not eating meat, I know many of my friends have tried to make me eat it one time or another.

And I quote: "I have known a couple vegetarians..."
There are millions of us worldwide and, by and large, we are well aware of our nutritional needs and are more than able to keep ourselves healthy. I'm not pale, weak, sickly, wrinkly, bruised, or any of the other things you, in your inexperience, presume vegetarians to be. I don't have any wish to preach to you about the health benefits of vegetarianism since you're free to make your own choices in life, but there's hard statistical data supporting the fact that vegetarians live longer than meat eaters. There is NOT "something wrong" with us "90% of the time." Get to know several more of us and you will discover that for yourself. Or, just ignore the few you do know and get over it.

Do you bother to look around you?
at least 95% of people you see everyday are meat eaters. At the very least 70% of them I see look horrible! They are fat, need something to help them walk, are sick, and have a many number of health problems. Yes, of course there are sick vegetarians. But they are plenty of sick meat eaters as well. The issue here is not primarily food, wile food plays a decent sized role. The main problem I believe has more to do with our failing health care system, than with food.
Vegetarians are not allowed to get sick according to some of you. It's like every time one does thats hard proof that our diet is no good. This is ridiculous and you know it. wellness has more components than just diet.

I have to ask YOU a question...when does the "preaching" start? Does it start when you scoff at your veggie friend and say "HUH WHAT? You DON'T eat meat! *gasp* WHY?!?! What is WRONG with you??" Because I have been accused of "preaching" to my in-laws, (and friends who asked me how I lost 75 pounds in less than a year) and I can honestly say, most of the "preaching" starts when I feel under attack. So my advice to you would be to grin at your veggie friend next time diet comes up, and just say, "I am so happy to hear that! Good for you!" Then you can go eat your steak, roll around on it, whatever makes you happy. If you drop the scrutiny, they should have no reason to get defensive. :D

This is the standard meat-eaters reply. Vegetarians that do not eat healthy might look like that, just like any other person who eats unhealthy.
All of my friends and family are vegetarian, and they are not sickly. But, you dont know them, so how about Brad Pitt? Looks pretty healthy to me.
here is a link of a list of celebrity vegetarians, if you want to put some face you know to vegetarianism.

If you inquire as to their health or eating habits, they're going to give you information. If you are not comfortable with that discussion then dont' ask them about their health.
If you read Mad Cowboy and Slaughterhouse you'll learn about why meat is so unhealthy the way it's done in factory farming. If you wish to eat meat on occasion, you can check out organic meats which is better for the environment, your health and less risk of prion diseases. Please read them they're really fascinating.

i won't cut-em down ,besides to each-his-own.
but anyway,it seems to me all around you are veggies and you feel the want for meat , soooooooo,go for it ,why do you stop having a steak when everyone-around you are rabbits !!
the diets they have are probably health-related !
and because they are comfortable with the fact -that should not hold you from enjoying the stuff all of the 90-% are having ,enjoy the meats offered in this world and don't forget to eat your veggies !! theyre good too !!
